sometimes i write about something that i'd written before, without consciously remembering any of the specifics of what i'd written. i putter around, tinker, edit, add and remove words. then i compare the two pieces, and i'm startled to find completely identical turns of phrase

@startingfromnix I love Cold Drinks Bar in Chinatown for this. Had myself many good journalling and reading sessions there ✍️📚 More into spirit-forward creations than sours, but both drinks and aesthetics are delicious 🥃🎨

Why’s there so much “tax the rich” and so little “give everyone free money” banter on here? Potential of tech (AI, nuclear energy) = age of abundance, fractional costs. More techno-optimism, less bitching and moaning pls. Be *for* something, not just against.

@JohnONolan @hackersincpod @adamwathan Is mainstreaming open source principles our best shot at a healthier internet? Most people—inc the folks regulating big tech—don’t seem to understand why eg source code availability and algorithmic transparency is important. I find this very shocking.
