I studied 12 hours a day for the last month and did thousands of practice questions, and that was still the hardest exam I’ve ever taken. First time feeling imposter syndrome in medical school. Ouch.

The first time I read this was in 2017, after my freshman year at Berkeley when I decided “I’ll be a cancer biologist.” Now, taking this for a second spin two years into my journey to become an oncologist. Still, just as riveting and moving.

@WestinWong ALSO I’ve noticed that non-med students come off as very “boring” on dates, and I’ve boiled this town to the fact that we are constantly intellectually stimulated by the people around us in medicine and all day in class so it sets the bar high for conversations outside of med

Radiation oncologists seem both concerned and puzzled by the unmatched residency positions. How are you involving medical students? How are you hearing from them? How are you getting them excited? Don’t mean to point fingers as it’s no one’s fault, just looking to learn.
