@levelsio
This has been top of mind for me lately. I want to help make this change.
I guess we need to show are optimism, be the change we want to see and build?
I think storytelling could be most important.
We need to talk about it and make it a clear problem to solve.
🕵️ I noticed a gap in the market for early-stage founders.
While the internet is packed with resources for designers and product teams, there's a lack of straightforward, practical design advice tailored for founders and Indie hackers to help them improve their products...
@mhudack
Couldn't agree more. This has been a growing topic and
@t_blom
articulates it so well.
As a Londoner, currently working with a US YC backed startup, I really want to see the UK change.
Let's make it happen!
I've been taking photos of graffiti in London since 2015 and I want to start sharing them. Good graffiti can stop you in your tracks and surprise you with scale and detail. Some of these pieces have blown my mind with how beautiful they can be.

I almost lost my life after a traumatic head injury from not wearing a helmet. I should be statistically dead or living with many expected disabilities—I’m not here to judge the motorist, but stress that everyone please wear a helmet. It saves lives. It’s not worth riding without
@SteffanHowey
Spot. On.
I spent way too long feeling like I didn’t fit in, being anxious, not thinking for myself and feeling like an imposter of processes
Following my intuition and self-belief in my taste has unlocked so much creativity and happiness in my work

I love drawing these hero images for my newsletter articles. They're a bit of fun, and a way to bake in some of my personality.
I just asked my partner, if these little people had a name, what would they be called?
She said, "Floobens"
Amazing.
This visualisation makes the most sense. An orbit for monthly and yearly.
I’ve had so much fun following my curiosity and learning swift again.
But, now it’s time to work on the more integral parts, like making it functional Lol.
@andybudd
Interesting! I also noticed a gap here and have just started a newsletter on practical design and UX advice for founders.
Naturally, many indie hackers or aspiring founders from technical backgrounds struggle with experience and research skills.

Started a clean build to get all of the main functionality right before layering on the unique interaction design

Exactly, this car is designed for America. I understand their ruthlessness for saving money, but it’s starting to creep, but that can’t be done without understanding where cars are driven outside of the bubble it’s made.

Tonight I had a 15 minute conversation with ChatGPT refining an idea.
It was seamless, helpful, and mind-blowing.
I felt like I was experiencing a sci-fi movie.
@paulg
Excellent post.
@t_blom
As a designer, it’s just as visceral. Working in a US team currently, the design and experience, *is* the differentiator.
Here in the UK, I’ve found most of the time that it’s sadly an afterthought.
This feels completely connected.
@anothercohen
That would be an insane fitness incentive.
CB could take a % of mined assets, but the mining reward and customer confidence in their abilities to complete the task would need to be high though!
@hpdailyrant
This is exactly how I felt when I left my recent job. I didn’t think I had a lot of impact, but everyone gathered together to get me some lovely gifts and I had such a kind departure.
Felt so grateful.

@framer
Congrats Cedric! 🎉
What is the guiding factor, which helps you figure out what type of new templates you create?
E.g different types of sites, different aesthetics etc
Thanks!
@JoshWComeau
Started my career writing HTML emails everyday for an e-commerce brand
good ol' days using Litmus for testing and never conquering all the email clients
@asallen
This opens up a world of mind-bending thoughts. If you can train something to emulate a model of something, does that mean a company could openly purchase a designer’s model for their team, off an open market?

@zendadddy
Thanks for being open on this dude. I also dream this same dream (even though I don’t have kids yet)
I think wealth will allow them to make a choice of what to work on.
Curiosity, and the feeling of wanting to excel can be applied to anything they want.
You’ll tech them :)
@hpdailyrant
Haha so true. At the beginning of my career it was the dream to work for Google. Now that I realise I only enjoy small teams, I couldn’t think of a worse environment.
@Stammy
It’s so refreshing.
For me, these rigorous processes are tiring because they feel anti-creative to what brings me energy. Maybe scale ups need some level of this, but so much of design has lost this degree of exploration and intuition.
@NoteToCare
I’ve suffered from Insomnia for a long time, when I haven’t slept as much, my mood is terrible.
On those days I tell myself “don’t trust your thoughts today, see what they’re saying tomorrow”
Been doing this for a couple of months now and has been such a relief!
@namyakhann
Biggest red flag for me is when they use anything digital. You only understand users when you stare into their eyes. No computer, no internet. Everything else is theatrics.
