OK, trying something new!
If you have feedback about the
@figma
file browser and notifications, or our desktop and mobile apps. Book 15 mins with me here to share them with me!
UI3 comes with a new
@figma
desktop app for MacOS and Windows. We really sweated the details with this one, so here's a few of my favourite features!
First up is the most visible change – the Mac style translucent tab bar.
As much as I love
@arcinternet
I really hope they move away from what feels like multiple releases a day.
I love the updates, but maybe packaging them into weekly releases with more notable changes would be better 😬
IMO these are the coolest craft centric companies to work at right now. Who am I missing?
1. Figma
2. Linear
3. The Browser Co
4. Anthropic
5. Perplexity
6. AirBnb
7. Slack
8. Monzo
9. Stripe
10. Notion
The new
@figma
mobile app, designed to make finding and collaborating across your files even easier whilst on the go.
Updates include:
- Improved recents tab
- Better favourite file navigation
- New comments list view
Download it via the App and Play Store, links below
Figma Slides is now in the

There's now a standalone FigJam app on iPad, and it's 🔥
If you're asking 'Figma Editing on iPad when?', let me know how, where, and why you would use this. More to come soon...

These are awful examples of voice based UX
1. Listing the names of nearby restaurants is vastly inferior to searching on a map which shows distance, photos, and menus.
2. Cooking something without seeing a photo of the dish is madness.
Also. Siri can do these things.
i posted a version of this on instagram, but posting one here so you can get a sense for how ai mic on ai pin works - let me know what else you’d like to see!
Managed to set up an old Apple TV with this lil portable router with a VPN to the UK (as suggested by
@SnazzyQ
) and now we can easily stream all the best satire shows from the UK again ♥️
I’m very excited to announce that we’ve just launched FigJam for iPad!
This new experience not only makes sketching and sharing ideas feel more natural – it creates a more focused creative environment away from your desk.

Creator Micro just dropped today and it was so much fun being a part of the project!
It may only be small, but it's going to be amazing for designers who want to work efficiently, and have even more fun in Figma!
You can now use the
@figma
mobile app to edit file permissions on the go!
This has been one of our most requested features, so download the app and give it a go!
We just shipped a small update to the
@figma
desktop app 🎉
On the new tab page we now show your recent files, making it easy to pick up where you left off.
Download the Beta to get access now!
We worked with
@Microsoft
to bring the
@figma
desktop app to Windows on Arm, and you can now get it at 🎉
Super excited to see so many companies move towards this architecture!
Do you use the
@figma
mobile app to mirror/view your designs whilst designing?
Would love to know why/why not, and how we could make it better for you.
We just just shipped some updates to
@figma
notifications!
There's lots of small UX improvements, and a few bigger changes like an unread filter, and in line comment replies.
Let us know your thoughts 😃
This whole situation is wild.
Elon publicly trashed Halli, said design leadership isn’t real work, demeaned working hard to become wealthy, and worst of all was clearly ableist.
And despite these vicious replies from Elon, Halli I handled it with grace. That is true leadership.
Hi again
@elonmusk
👋
I hope you are well.
I’m fine too. I’m thankful for your interest in my health.
But since you mentioned it, I wanted to give you more info.
I have muscular dystrophy. It has many effects on my body.
Let me tell you what they are:
For tab icons, we now have a greyscale treatment to reduce visual distraction. Then on hover, show a pop of colour, alongside the file thumbnail to make finding the right file easy.
Shoutout to
@maxvoltar
for the incredible icons!
Just hit my 3 year anniversary at
@figma
!
Hands down the best place I've ever worked and I'm so proud of everything the teams I've been a part of have achieved. Here's to the next 3 years!
Did Google kill SEO yesterday by putting AI results and ads above organic results?
If so, AIRO (AI Results Optimisation) is the future of getting products and sites in front of customers, and I bet there's some really great startups/agencies already working on this.
My annual PSA that buying a new iPhone won’t:
- make you happier
- help you feel content
- boost your mental health
- improve the quality of your life
- enhance your photography skills
Say hello to GPT-4o, our new flagship model which can reason across audio, vision, and text in real time:
Text and image input rolling out today in API and ChatGPT with voice and video in the coming weeks.
Huge kudos to Apple for investing in these new accessibility features.
Elderly people struggle to use phones every day, and this is a huge step towards simplifying devices for them.
What's the ideal stack for product teams?
@linear
is the clear winner for task type things.
@figma
for designs.
But what's the best for:
- Documents (Notion? GDocs? 365?)
- Chat (Slack? Teams? GChat? Discord?)
- Files (Drive? Dropbox? MS?)
Very excited to share that I'll be focussing more on the file browser, commenting, and notifications experiences at Figma!
What do you love, what do you hate, and what new things should we build?
