They actual develop that way to sleep in trees. Their feet hook the branches and anchor them as they lie along the branch.
Now I’ve busted your bubble here’s an owl running to bring back the laughs.
Overwhelmed to receive an OBE in the Queens birthday honours list today. There are so many people who deserve to be honoured. Feeling very blessed by those who nominated me. I can do more good in this world with an OBE than without it. So huge thanks to all who played a role.

We cycle & both parents work. Ditched the diesel spewer in 2015. Best thing we did. Thankful for the many cleaner options now available to all Londoners. Use electric Zipcars in emergencies. No ULEZ charge or parking fees for those.
@ask_aubry
This leaves us in no doubt that there are definitely some exceptional male misogynists globally.
Turns out female surgeons have better clinical outcomes.
One of only a few people still wearing a mask on the tube. People are suffering really badly with this variant and it is super spreading. I don’t get it. Why would people risk long covid. Time to start sharing mask pics widely and frequently to create a new normal.

Thank you suffragettes for battling for women’s right to vote against arrests, beatings, abuse and self starvation. The further escalation to militancy formed from centuries of suffering. There was a simple way to end it. Gender equity.
We won the HSJ Award for health and local government housing - I hope all our partners will join us in celebrating and promoting the work we have all done together. You are all inspiring to me every day 🙌🏻🙌🏻
When the NHS invests funding into homeless health the small amounts bring an inordinate return. One

team in a hospital reduced A&E attends 66% for the people they saw this year. That’s probably the only good A&E news we’ve had - so why is it so hard to prioritise?
Just bought my son a winter coat as the temp takes a dive. Last year he had four - they all disappeared at school 🤷🏻♀️. This year I’m taking it up a level & sewing a geotracking device into the lining. Cheaper than four coats. Part of me can’t wait for it to go missing 🕵🏻

Saw an A&E doctor being punched and knocked to the floor last night around midnight. Once handcuffed the whole team continued to be utterly professional & compassionate to the perpetrator who was living with schizophrenia, intoxicated and homeless.
@NHSBartsHealth
impressive 👏🏻
123 emails today in 8hrs. So need to clear around 15 an hour. Sounds ok but whilst attending on average 7 meetings and progressing work research, bids, papers etc. sometimes added travel to meetings 🤯. What are your tips and tricks for work flow this new year?

Important to dip below this data. NWLondon half way down the chart has the highest levels of street / rough sleeping in England. London is home to 50% of the countries HIV cases. Deprivation is the priority focus but we need to overlay global city factors for London ICPs.

Did Jesus welcome those who society outcast? They were joyful, expressive, and yes subversive and defiant - it’s a shield against the harmful stigma they suffer. Brave to enter. How transformative this discourse could have been had they been told they were fully loved and safe.
My dog is out with a teacher friend on the

After almost 200 years the House of Lords has just voted to repeal the Vagrancy Act. Experiencing homelessness is not a crime - people who find themselves in this position are victims of societies failure to offer appropriate solutions.
For anyone out there living with HIV we did this for all of you because we love you and think you are fabulous 🌟 let’s end HIV stigma for good

Proud mum moment. The girls at my sons school set up a lunch group to talk about misogyny today. They wanted to invite some boys. So they wrote a top list of six boys they thought exemplified positive allyship, behaviours and values towards women. My boy was on that list 😍

Extreme end of family poverty - 96,060 households in temporary accommodation at the end of September 2021. Thats 121,680 dependent children were housed in temporary accommodation. They need stable homes.

When discharged to street from hospital it doesn’t matter how clinically insightful your discharge summary was ...it will be worth less than a plastic bag. Expanding step down care for rough sleepers can prevent readmission.

“Equity” is the solution
Reflecting on the lack of priority to inclusion health and London’s most vulnerable.
No more “tackling inequalities” we need a more assertive “delivering on our promise of equity”

My new big challenge - can we turn the Mildmay Mission Hospital, established at the height of the AIDS epidemic, into a Homeless Health Medical Respite / Step Down centre for London? A Christmas wish and a litmus test for integrated pan-London commissioning.
@HealthyLDN
Absolutely delighted to see the renaming of this overground line in honour of

which played a pivotal role during the HIV/AIDS epidemic and during COVID for London’s homeless both roles continue but now also support drug detox pathways.

Here’s the blunt reality — reasonably-sized electric vehicles need to be the future of cars, but they can’t be the future of urban mobility.
Fewer cars.
Less driving.
More inviting mobility options.
Better communities and cities.
These are the 4 pillars of the REAL solution.
Me too! If you didn’t catch

Good to see a clinician calling this out. Your voices are crucial in dispelling this rhetoric. Managers are part of the healthcare team too. Like any healthcare professional they can be excellent or require improvement. The question of there being too many is divisive press
Not forgotten, service of commemoration for people who have been homeless who have died in the last year. Heartbreaking to hear that the avg age of death for women experiencing rough sleeping has fallen again to just 41 years 💔

That’s an event venue we can no longer use. Perhaps you should let the events company know it’s commercial suicide with the wider health sector who I believe are a major customer. The legal cost versus the £reputational and £commercial cost may be worth reconsidering alone.

Listening to Suella. “We must send people from safe countries back” …what about all the Brits who’ve emigrated to Australia and Spain shall we issue a recall notice to them? Migration is part of life. It’s an exchange not an influx.

Just spent 3hrs facetiming my friends 22 year old daughter in her stay on a mental health ward. I don’t know how we expect people to recover when all the sensory aspects - the noises sights and smells - are all so un-homely, prison like and stress inducing.

Suella’s points on tents today are entirely in response to this article about the failed asylum support system. Imagine using the most vulnerable people in society to save your own votes in a PR exercise that will endanger their lives.
