You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11 ESV)

@PaulRussell92 @gavinortlund Could be confusing the humanity/divinity here? Jesus's human/fleshly presence (the human Person of Christ) is localized in one place - once on earth, but now glorified in Heaven. But Christ's divinity/divine Person (which sustained/sustains the universe) is omnipresent. Y/N?

@RevZekveld Can you point me to some Paedobaptist readings of Col. 2:11-12? Curious how Paul equivalating spiritual circumcision with baptism is understood in paedo-bap circles as a pro-infant baptism text. (I imagine there are different views w/ presumptive regeneration and such!) Thx!

@JeremyInOzarks Not in any depth! My assumption was they took the basic ‘Satan deceives all unbelievers when released’ route. But I hadn’t taken the time to think about their struggle to account for this massive # of unbelievers.

You ever think Revelation is so 'cryptic' partially so Satan can't understand it. 😭🤣 Clear enough to give the Church great hope, murky enough so her enemies read it and just scratch their heads...

@Jaime_E_Owens That's our preference/ideal cuz symbolism. If we demand it's REQUIRED tho, should we likewise require that take one cup and "divide" it for all (Luke 22:17)? Why have multiple of 'the blood' if unwilling to for 'the body'? There is only one sacrifice/new covenant in His blood!

The Sabbath topic is such a good test case for understanding one's view of how the Bible fits together. These convos/comments/disagreements always fascinate me.

The Sabbath (not circumcision) was the sign of the Mosaic Covenant. Which is why under the New Covenant, Christians are not bound to Sabbath. They’re instead bound to enter Christ’s rest EVERY day in faithful dependence on His righteousness. Today’s sermon on Ex. 20:8-11.

@Particular_Drew Idk 😂 Isn’t the concept of ‘federal headship’ in a sense related to being the head/rep of a kind of humanity (not a specific cov within humanity)? Adam & Jesus as only federal heads/reps of humanity (Jesus as “second man”) Adam of old & fallen, Jesus of new & restored?

@Bryanzfitz Neither is wrong IMO. Proper preaching to the specific flock God has charged you with necessitates time spent with them/knowing their struggles/sins. When it's my turn to speak/respond, I wish to do nothing but draw out gospel riches from Scripture and apply it to their lives.

@wagraham Yeah. One big issue for me in 'the will being proper to the person' is that Jesus only has one will and finds that one will to be at odds with the Father's will (from before the foundation of the world? Never liking the plan of redemption?). Messy messy messy.

@DashHouse Also - interesting that both your points seem to hit on ways we experience 'the problem of divine hiddenness' in our day-to-day lives. Where is God in my suffering? And where is He when life is boring/I don't 'feel' Him/it feels like I'm making no progress. Thx for this

@DashHouse Yeahhhh. I'm writing a paper on sanctification rn and have been thinking on this. I don't often think of suffering as the blessing for my communion with Christ that Scripture says it is. Part of the issue is my youth/present inexperience. Most of this is still 'theory' to me.
