@AlStewartOBE Civil servants organised parties for themselves during lockdown. Then they leaked it to the press to damage the government they are supposed to be serving. Let that sink in.

@deGourlay Except using 'far right' as a smear to describe widespread public opinion does not show concern for community cohesion. Instead it shows preferential treatment of a minority at all costs.

@GBNEWS Are you going to report the speech the PM made yesterday and give us some real news?.

@bobmca1 So glad Sue Barker is exposing the BBC for the liars they are. They treated her so badly.

@KemiBadenoch How are Tennant's comments different from what Tory donor, Frank Hester, said about Diane Abbott? Why isn't there the same outrage?.

@RupaHuq Rupa Huq makes a joke about a 96 year old woman in ill health 'working from home' and then pretends that we're the ones who got it all wrong. 🙄.

@BenObeseJecty Excellent question and pathetic response from Starmer. He was running scared.

@PippaCrerar Welcome clarity from the PM. Sanity after Labour's avoidance of those basic facts.

@KirstieMAllsopp @Channel4News Jon Snow openly supported Jeremy Corbyn, even joining a chorus of Oh Jeremy Corbyn at Glastonbury. How impartial was that?.

@cathynewman She used her press conference to make party political points and then posed for a photo op with the Labour party making her allegiances clear. That's fine, but she must understand the political consequences of doing that. She's an intelligent woman and it was her choice.

Islamist MP just referred to release of hostages 'on both sides'. Disgraceful. Starmer didn't correct him. #PMQs.

@jimwaterson So let me get this straight. It's the people who complain about bias in the media who are responsible for the decline in trust in the media? 🤔.

@nicolelampert @SP_Duckworth How is it Labour has become quite so unprincipled? They tolerated Corbyn's racism. Now they tolerate misogyny. Only a few brave MPs speak out and they are then driven out.

@EssexPR @GBNEWS @PatrickChristys Why are they being allowed to march during school hours? These demos are mushrooming all over the place.

@Ann06957684 @BorisJohnson Very important that he doesn't. If our media got a scalp on partygate it would be the thin end of the wedge. They must get the message that our PM can't be toppled over trivia like this. How many civil servants broke the law leaking to the press?.

@MichaelLCrick Is someone going to explain to Michael Crick what a highly integrated community German Jews were before the rise of the Nazis? Integration didn't prevent persecution and genocide.

@sandieshoes It's going to be a tax raid on pensioners isn't it - homes and pensions? At least the old Labour party believed in supporting the elderly.

@DPJHodges Cummings is guilty of two things:.1. Running a successful Leave campaign. 2. Enabling Boris Johnson to win a landslide in GE2019. For that he will never be forgiven.

@JohnJCrace The death toll is horrendous, but the rate of increase has dropped from doubling every 5 days to every 10 days. Lockdown is working and if we hold tight we will beat this virus fucker. #StayHomeStayLives.

@tnewtondunn Starmer shows no sign of really caring about dealing with the pandemic. His questions were all about disputed stats highlighting excess death and negative comparisons with Europe. How is that helpful?.

@DPJHodges Dan - this happened under Labour and Starmer has failed to pacify community tensions. It's not very grown up to keep blaming the Tories when things go wrong.

@darrengrimes_ @RockboltG @SkyNews The media like to paint Dom Cummings as "weird" but frankly he came across as a decent family man and the press pack come across a whole lot weirder than him. A bunch of deranged obsessives.

@AdamBienkov No they didn't. Kirkcaldy High was not a comp when Gordon Brown went to it and he was hothoused into university aged 16. Theresa May was a grammar school girl. Check your facts.

@RobbieRinder @susannareid100 @GMB Susanna Reid didn't hold the PM to account - she put out fake news, talked over him and did theatrical reactions for camera. It was a terrible hack interview.

There's more outpouring of grief from journalists about Newsnight than there was about 7 October massacre.
Gutted to hear about the gutting of #newsnight. Its power was always the combination of strong films with robust interviews often around an Off Broadway take. I had the privilege of working for it while a BBC foreign correspondent. It was once considered the gold standard.

@CornishDwarf My Labour voting dad told me this weekend he thinks Boris has been impressive in his support for Zelenesky and Ukraine and has real solutions to controlling our borders. Sees it as a sign of true leadership. He's going to vote Tory for the first time in his long life.

Brave of Halligan to confirm this. It is clearly what happened.
'Did the Bank of England OUST Liz Truss by undermining the markets in the run up to her budget, then strengthening the markets when Sunak and Hunt came in?'. @LiamHalligan: 'Yes, I think the Bank of England did do that, and that's what the record shows!'

@wilmadog09 When swathes of middle England deserted the Tories to vote for Tony Blair in 1997, Conservatives didn't say the vote was rigged. They went into a long period of soul searching and reform. That's what Labour needs to do now.
