Another proud moment for all of the players for embracing the challenges that they have faced throughout the whole build-up! They’re a credit to themselves, families and the club. A massive well done to the u16’s also completed their player-led game excellently @AFCWAcademy 💙💛.

There will be naturally be a period of disappointment with the final result but I can not emphasise how proud of all of the players and staff I am! The players gave everything and showed the traits we would expect from a @AFCWimbledon side! A great learning experience #COYD 💙💛.

FULL-TIME: Dons 1-0 Burnley. Substitute Paris Lock with a late winner in the FA Youth Cup to earn a 4th round tie versus Spurs. The Dons fought valiantly to create their own bit of history - 46 years since Southern League Wimbledon knocked out Burnley. @AFCWAcademy #AFCW

NEXT GENERATION 👶🏻👶🏼👶🏽👶🏾👶🏿. Today all academy players attended a tour of the new stadium which included a history lesson on the area of Wimbledon. The youth phase were then tasked with transporting themselves to evening training without the aid of parents ⚽️

@drewtyler13 @thomaswhartley No problem. It’s always an on -going process but typically when we first go build towards it there is an 8 week cycle of events that we follow. We never would just tell the players it’s happening. They have got to a stage where they come to the staff to request a game to do it.
