Air packs, newspaper plastic covers, bread bags, etal get scrunched into an empty plastic juice bottle. I read that the industry recycles only 5 or 6% of plastic. At least it’s self contained.
It’s increasingly obvious that much of the political press is shallow. They demand new storylines. They’re distracted by bright, shiny objects. Believe it or not, they’re bored with the fact that an unhinged fascist is poised to end American democracy. 1/9 🧵
@Lingzi_W
I taught summer school one year and at the end of the term one student said, "If you were my regular teacher, I would never have had to be in summer school. But you made it really interesting "
@flywithkamala
The US right now is figuratively a Hollywood Blockbuster movie. You got your good & bad guys, a potential coup in the works, and some serious plot developments no one saw coming. The missing piece is the hero who saves us all.
@Rubicon1313
Hey Gary, haven’t you heard? The Aramaic translation was faulty. It actually reads “Husbands, Plead with your wives that they may not throw you down a well for not thanking them enough when they serve you fresh sushi.”
Twitter has a block button. I wish my TV had one. I'd block Richard Irvin and his disgusting ads. He's running for IL Gov position and financed by MAGA billionaire Ken Griffin. His ads are all dog whistles. Pritzker doing a fine job.

Saget fell and the coroner's office took about a month to investigate. I think the press had news of her fall about 2 hours before she "fell."
@lyndastraffin
Hey, some of us Boomers were also hippies back in the 60's. I protested against the war, campaigned for McGovern, and vowed to make the US a better place bt teaching in inner city schools for 34 years. True Blue. Union Strong.
@BrianKarem
Amen to that.
better yet ...
A man ,,, and his brother used science to build the 1st flying machine.
And nowadays, more people fly everyday than go to church.
(That statistic is true, probably)
Absolute truth. Reagan was a Homespun Tyrant with his folksy American cowboy act. Just another racist creep who hated gays and did zip for them during the AIDS crisis.
Growing up in the 60's and 70's, my father supported a family of 5 while my mother stayed home. He had a college degree, but we weren't wealthy. We had a nice house, vacations, and good medical care. In 1981, Ronald Reagan SIGNIFICANTLY cut taxes on the rich. That ended it.
@alala55
I taught at an inner city school with a wonderful woman named Maurice who was the principal. She was everything Mom was not.
Maurice made me a better person as well as a teacher. She’s 96 and I keep in touch regularly. She’s my mom.
I had to jettison over 100 of the folks I was following. Dems all. My numbers were skewed and I needed more actual followers. It kinda made me sad and I hope they didn’t take it personally.
@Vincethewriter
Good on you Dude. Looks like an elementary setting. Those youngsters really need a strong male image in their young years. I taught at that level for 34 years. My best to you.
@nathaliejacoby1
16 years ago the doc said to my wife, "Get your affairs in order. I give him about 30 days." Survived leukemia thanks to medicine. You hear that anti-vaxers. I survived thanks to medicine.
@MarkJacob16
That's my generation. Our formative years were the 60's. Peace, love, rock and roll, and question everything. What happened to so many of us? Me, I've grown even more liberal and still hold dear what I learned. Thankfully, my friends are of a like mind.
@BrettButler1111
Here's the other thing ... remember how everyone poked fun of her "looks" when she first came on the scene? She was the target of many a joke/laugh. However, she was who she was, never took offense, and knew that her real talent was singing and song writing.
@thedavidcrosby
I agree with each and every one of these pro Union tweets. My teachers' union fought for better educational programs for all my students and better working conditions all my fellow teachers. The Dude who said you're management was right.

Upon closer inspection you wrote kale and not Kahlua. In that case nothing. Even the wild rabbits wont eat it.
I will never forgive the people helping the fascists take down our democracy. I don’t care if it’s your Aunt Sue who makes the cute cupcakes or your favorite coach in high school. There’s no excuse for voting Republican this year. In fact, it’s unforgivable.
@gggirl924
Me. Yes, me. I'm an old hippie. Protested that damn war and applied for a CO. Never got drafted so I decided my pay back was to teach elementary school on Chicago's Southside. Tough assignment, but very fulfilling. PS, smoked a little reefer too.
@DocHalston
I’m 75 and many of my friends are in that same septuagenarian spread. Almost all went to college. What we share is that liberal way of thinking. I believe all the classes we took, and all the marching for equal rights cemented who we are today.
Trump’s entire life is blocking every document and fact of his existence. From his HS Grades to his WH Docs, dude does not want the truth spoken about him ever. He’s a criminal and always has been. Hence the NDA’s.

You forgot to mention he’s faster than a speeding bullet, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, and charm the panties off Russian women.
@SHEsus__Christ
For 34 years I taught in inner city Chicago. My students couldn't go to the library because they would have to cross gang territory. It was frustratingly difficult but immensely rewarding. "But you have summers off and your day ends at 3:15" was the BS I always got.

@crazyclipsonly
I walk my dog off leash. He’s trained. Never bothers anyone. Why do I do it? He loves to stop and smell. I keep walking and whistle him back when we’re separated by 10 yards. I also believe it gives him a feeling of freedom & confidence.
I don’t know if you’ve noticed what sneaky Jedi Master tricks

No No No. The solution: Everyone must stop having babies. Mandatory sterilization. Problems solved: Abortion, School shootings, teaching CRT, Youth gangs, Mothers on welfare, Education $$$, and on and on ...
@Wonderful_Ed
Carried a sign at college graduation that said, "Work For Peace" and I did. Taught inner city kids for 34 years. Small gesture to prove to them that all white guys weren't bigots.
@We_Like_Dogs
Yes a pic with true emotion. BUT, why the “no one loves it”?
I see that crap all the time on this platform. And as soon as I do, I scroll on by.
@TedLasso
Can't name a one, but I became a teacher and taught for 34 in inner city Chicago. One of the best compliments was from a girl in a summer school literature class I taught. She said, "If you were my teacher in the regular year, I would not be here in summer school."
Watching Ukraine defend itself is like having a front row seat in a class on democracy. Ukrainians are not fighting each other over fake issues like vaccines and CRT. They are fighting FOR each other so future generations will enjoy the freedoms that exist in a true democracy.
