There is something sad to be said about the rise of mall culture as a consequence of pre-WWII urbanism ceasing to exist, but the current shift into isolationist, exclusively online shopping is pretty sad too. No human interaction.

The state of Wisconsin wants your input on the future of I-794 in downtown Milwaukee. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is considering three options: replacing it as is, improving it with a new design or tearing it down.

Lot of households with only one car, not just in Milwaukee but the county as a whole. We need more neighborhoods rich in walkability and good transit to ensure that this isn’t just another example of “Every map of Milwaukee is the same.”

@Eric_Erins It’s very comfortable weather from late April-early November in Chicago. But people act like Chicago has good weather for only three months in the year. Look at Atlanta, you’re telling me their humid summer is enjoyable? The only true “good weather” cities are in California.

@KetuAlbrecht I’m not sure Chicago is viewed as a rival by Milwaukeeans. Our own state seems to be the bigger rival lol. Chicago is more so the place where you go to see good concerts, catch a cheap flight, and watch the Brewers beat the Cubs than a rival to most Milwaukeeans.
