Theb is why Sea of Thieves came back onto my radar- whether you argue that's for better or for worse. And I know I'm not the only time.
I am far from a Theb fan, but I think he does make entertaining content. He clearly has a big role in making people want to play the game.

Hey so obviously this is social media and we can't prove if someone's being honest. But I do think it's strange this is the treatment for a permanent suspension. Especially with EAC tripping up on Shadowplay, making it impossible to capture gameplay footage.

Everyone's thinking it. But the Theb situation is setting a really scary precedent for ANYONE who wants to do content creation for Sea of Thieves.
Rare needs to put this effort towards shutting down Cheatware development and those harassing/doxing community members.

SOT will never have functional hitreg and at this point the game design needs to be based around that. People very briefly believed Rare when they said they were fixing it. Fail.

Gecko, who was harassed for a year by the cheaters, talking about what they endured and how little Rare helped them.
To add on to this, every single community manager and moderator I talked to about this concern essentially ignored the issue, was unable to help, or got upset with me for asking for any kind of help in relation to it.
In other words, I was left to deal with it on my own.

Cheating boosters are so comfortable and prevalent that they can openly advertise their services on Ebay.
They request access to the boostee's account while the throwaway account that's boosting is blatantly cheating.
This is an account security issue.
