We have begun removing unfairly earned gold and rep from players who profited from Burning Blade Ritual farming exploits, breaking our Code of Conduct and unbalancing the in-game economy. Players who stole from ships with a disproportionate Ritual value may also be impacted.

We're aware players are experiencing an unusual level of Alabasterbeard messages. Thank you to those of you who've notified us - we're currently investigating and will provide an update once we've identified the issue.
A fix has been rolled out to tackle exploits that were being used to complete excessive numbers of Rituals while in control of the Burning Blade. We will be following up by addressing proven instances of these exploits being used to vastly accelerate progress and gold earned.
Following a resolution of the issue with ship cosmetics not saving between sessions, we're rolling out compensation to those players who were affected. This will arrive as an amount of gold in relation to the number of failed save attempts, plus a Gilded Voyage of Restitution.
We are making strong progress towards resolving the login issues, and players are now starting to return to Sea of Thieves without issue. Should you encounter other beard errors while the backlog begins to clear, please keep trying. Thank you all for your patience.
After overnight feedback we've lowered the ship count per server from six to five, while maintaining the cap of 16 players. This allows for a wider variety of ship sizes per server, and our matchmaking system will work to deliver this while we monitor impact on game performance.

Pirates! Acquiring a new Gilded Voyage during this year's Festival of Giving will remove any older Gilded Voyages you still have in your inventory. If you do still have a Gilded Voyage from a previous Event, we strongly advise completing it before picking up a new one.
Due to feedback we received, the Eastern Winds Jade Beard has been removed from the Outpost Store. Players who bought the beard will no longer be able to view it in their Vanity Chests or equip it and will receive a refund in the next week.
