Let me tell you about my experience with unions.
1. In the late 90's I was in a unionized job with the CWA.
a. I got to personally observe how union members gamed the system so they could do the minimal work for the max pay.
b. I saw how seniority determined
No one, and I mean NO ONE is as responsible for the decline of civil liberties in this country as this man.
I remember the pedestal my history teachers put him on.
I absolutely loathe this scum bag.
One more actually.
I was working in a literal sweatshop factory my first summer back from college where I was studying engineering.
We made industrial cables.
I had the worst job in the plant.
It was for $6.5 an hour.
The plant had a meeting, voted and unionized.
The plant
The guy who killed three marshals, a sheriff's deputy and wounded three other officers, in the worst shooting of law enforcement officers in over a decade has been identified and this story is about to disappear.
Why I'm an armor snob and is good enough actually good enough
The civ market has exploded over the past few years and consumers have more options than ever
For now
Body armor is already an export controlled product and there have been continued calls to stop sales to civilians
@AfricanArchives
Why do you show a picture of a baby faced 12 year old Trayvon instead of the violent teenager he was at the time of the encounter with Zimmerman?
@MarioNawfal
Anyone who believes this girl is alive is naive. The person in this photo does not appear to be breathing and has multiple injuries including a bleeding head wound.
I overpaid for a medical procedure and the hospital through their processing company sent me a refund check when I pointed out the error.
Then a week later they sent me another check for the same amount.
I called them and pointed out the error which they investigated then
This is really important advice. Nobody thinks it can happen to them.
I have several tiers of water preparedness:
1. 150 liters of RO purified water in storage tanks.
2. Mechanical water filtration system.
3. Sawyer portable filters along with Nalgene adapters and bags.
4.
Terrible news for Western NC but things to learn for your own emergency preparedness. Water storage of a significant volume is a big hurdle for most people and being without water in a home or without power in a boil water advisory is serious.
Just a reminder that sergeant major Vining was stacking bodies and laying pipe in well pressed slacks and nerd spectacles while most of us were too little to play with cap guns.
My son's elementary school has a volunteer program for dads to hang out at the school (unarmed) and offer some security enhancement by checking exterior doors and keeping an eye on things and being a role model for kids.

So in light of what is going on in NM I took at look at my own state's Constitution and what it says about the right to bear arms.
Imagine my shock and amazement that instead of simply hosting a copy of the Colorado Constitution on the website, the CO
@Rogers4Texas
So you don’t trust yourself to have access to that Fudd gun or to keep it out of the hands of people who shouldn’t have it?
Weird “flex”.
Another reason that I usually recommend a G19 as a first semi-automatic handgun is:
1. Takes the most commonly available handgun ammo.
2. Widely available magazines in a variety of sizes, including very inexpensive options from Magpul.
3. You can't throw a rock without hitting a
Don’t get caught up on all the high speed looking carry guns people post on line that have a comp, extended mag, flashlight, high dollar red dot, custom stippling etc. You’re better off with a plain Jane G19 with some sights and a plastic mag well if it means you can afford ammo
Another terrifying and supposedly hypothetical kinetic weapon are "Rods from God".
Completely inert tungsten missiles are positioned in low earth orbit, then dropped on targets.
By the time they reach terminal velocity they have as much destructive power as a nuke.
@brettachapman
If Americans hadn't conquered them then the French, Japanese, Chinese, or dozens of other large nations would have.
The entire CONTINENT had an estimated native population of 4-8M. No modern nation was going to "live in harmony" with stone age tribes.
Those of you in purple states need to pay attention.
In the span of 10 years Colorado has enacted:
* Magazine capacity limits
* Mandatory BG checks on all gun transfers/purchases
* Safe Storage Laws
* Red Flag Laws
* 7 year retention of weapon transfers by FFLs

Which of the existing

gun laws would have prevented the East High shooting on Wednesday? Which of the new bills would have prevented it?
I'm old enough to remember Democrats like yourself promising the 2013 gun laws would work.

Magazine Monday: M4 edition
A mag fed weapon is only as good as the magazine feeding it. That $3,000 Gucci AR15 can become a jam-o-matic with an inferior magazine
So what are the differences in modern AR pattern rifle magazines? We'll take a look at three of the best today
I posted this yesterday to demonstrate that despite what you are being told on the idiot box, the USA is nowhere near any of the leading countries for homicides.
If the retort is that the US leads in school shootings, then why are leftists adamantly refusing to discuss measures
I’m watching The Terminal List with Chris Pratt and all I can keep thinking is how none of the shit Pratt’s character is shown as having in his home is legal in California.
If the AFT raiding tax paying civilians with jobs for supposed gun crimes while simultaneously ignoring Chicago teens posting about their Glock switches on FB we’re headed for a very very dark place.
Balkanization of the USA is, at this point, inevitable.
The only question is if we actually split into different smaller countries or have a seething population under control of people they despise and share little in common with (for reference see Kurds).
The reason I am black pilled is that I am really good at calculating things in my head.
There are 3M federal workers, 20M federal contractors whose very livelihood depends on their preferred policies being enacted by our government.
They will not relinquish that power.
@AP
Are you going to talk about how price controls have failed spectacularly in countries like Venezuela or how "corporate greed" being the cause of high food prices is completely false?
Before my wife and I met she crashed when she tried skiing and had to be taken on the toboggan of shame by ski patrol.
I’ve been trying to convince her to give it another shot for over fifteen years.
She took a lesson with me today and after doing really really well, hit a tree
@martyrmade
Historians recognize hundreds of thousands if not millions of civilian casualties in the Napoleonic wars so I'm not sure why you are basically just lying at this point.
Look, you and others have made the case for Palestine, Israel is not listening to it.
They have zero interest
I'm never going to understand dudes that will drop $5K on an AR and optic, $2K on a carrier and plates, $1,000 on web gear and other accessories, $2,000 on ammo..... but won't spend $300 on an all day carbine training class.
@LookingOver

Personally I am most concerned with airline companies that are more concerned about diversity and inclusion than with finding the people with the best skills for flying the planes.
“Matthew Dolloff, 30, was contracted through the company Pinkerton by 9NEWS... Pinkerton, however, said it does not actually employ Dolloff – Pinkerton did not share the name of the company for which Dolloff worked.”
Keep in mind that millions of AR pistols with braces have been sold.
The offer to get a free tax stamp for them could also be considered a backdoor gun registry because that's what it actually is.
@Bacon_Is_King
They can ask for the pay they want and if they want to walk off if they don't get that, then that's up to them.
The bigger issue is that they want guarantees they won't be automated out of a job when automation is going to impact virtually every job over the next 20 years.
Addendum.
Friend of mine who is very far left is more appalled about what OTHER COUNTRIES THINK OF US IF WE PUT ARMED GUARDS IN SCHOOLS than KIDS BEING MURDERED IN SCHOOLS.
Yeah, you read that right. He's more concerned about keeping up appearances than defending kids.

I finally saw this thread this morning while drinking coffee.
I just want to offer my .02 on this.
First off... I carry weapons, first aid, and night vision equipment with me in my primary vehicle for no other purpose than to make sure I make it home to a family that is
A fireteam is gonna have a SAW, it’s hard to grasp how fucking hard it is to move under automatic fire if you haven’t been witness to it. Add a grenadier and after the first round cracks off its curtains.

Someone who "learned to shoot from their grandpa" literally took out a shooter with an AR15 and a tactical vest in a mall food court from a distance of something like 30 yards... using a Glock handgun.
Many many other similar examples.
You don't know WTH you are talking about.
@Timcast
Yes, because you constantly lecture everyone about the importance of family and yet neither you nor anyone in your core cabal are married or have children.
Teachers who WANT to get the training can and should be armed. Hell, the county should pay for their training and practice ammo.
Children are our most precious gift, but somehow the idea that we would defend them with deadly force is seen as obscene.

Looks an awful lot like "that's a really nice little Christian school ya got there conservative America, be a shame if something happened to it".
I don’t remember his name, how could I, he was ancient (probably 55) and I was a kid.
I remember the deed though old timer, and I’ll pay it forward.

My co-worker commented that "Colorado is still pretty pro gun".
1. BG checks for all weapon transfers.
2. 15 round mag capacity limit.
3. Red Flag law
4. 3 day waiting period on purchases.
5. Must be 21 yo to buy ANY gun.
6. Illegal to manufacture or TRANSPORT unserialized guns
This is why the arguments I see about "oh noes, we can't have men with guns in schools" are so infuriating to me.
Do you want kids to be protected or be defenseless?
Person attacking the school might not even use a gun, they might use arson, a vehicle, etc.
