Woww! Antimony based enzymes! Nice idea of using Sb based Lewis acid to mimic the role of Zn2+. So many biological applications of heavier Pnictogen Lewis acids are coming up. First, Prof. Gabbaï's Group 15 based ion channels and now this!.
In our new paper in Angew. Chem. on pnictogen-bonding enzymes, we introduce artificial enzymes that use a non-covalent interaction biological enzymes do not use, the long-awaited counterpart to anion-π enzymes, reported 2016.

#RGKAR.1/n: Do you want justice only for this case? Or do you want to stop crime against women in general? Crime against women will not stop by hanging one rapist or only giving justice to a single case. Giving the death penalty to a rapist alone can't stop crime against women.

Why is this kind of fire missing in our generation? Happy Birthday to a true hero! Netaji!.
Nearly a century ago, when a prominent Calcutta college debarred its students from organizing Saraswati Puja, the beleaguered students found support from #SubhashChandraBose. It led to a clash between two of Bengal’s biggest icons. A thread (1/12)

Another Beautiful Phosphine Ligand! It is an example of very rare highly sigma donating aryl phosphine ligands (only one example known previously - TTMPP).The sigma donating property is even better than P(tBu)3 according to TEP but has less sterics than alkyl phosphines(ConeAngle).

Interesting comparison. .
Just thought of doing a random comparison, of a top rated Chinese University (Tsinghua) and top rated Indian University (IISc). I am not picking on any institution, but trying to make a comparison. Generally, the top performing institutions are the best funded ones. At least

No d, No problem!! This work shows how In-situ generated Mg(I) amide can activate dinitrogen! Indeed a cool work!.
No accessible d-orbitals? No problem. Rahul's work on the 1st activation of N2 in a Mg complex (via a Mg(I) radical) is out as a preprint. A super reactive compound that acts as a masked Mg(I) diradical, reducing CO, H2 + C2H4 in the solid state!. #ozchem

Very cool work! This ligand has similar sigma donating ability but still it has less steric than usual highly Sigma donating phosphine ligands. It gives access to less sterically hindered electron rich Pd substrates for catalysis!.
We’re thrilled to share this story about tris(bicyclo[1.1.1]pentyl)phosphine. Griffin Perry developed a scalable route to this phosphine and discovered impressive activity in Pd-catalyzed sp3-electrophile cross-coupling.

Very Impressive Work! The research work demonstrates the effective utilization of a nucleophilic Mg-Mg compound, along with a Lewis base, as a defluorinating agent for PTFE polymer waste. Additionally, the resulting compound exhibits remarkable potential as a fluorinating agent,.
Danny Sheldon's and @josephmparr's work on the defluorination of PTFE is now published in @J_A_C_S. Here is the link:
