If GME shares are removed from the DTCC, it eliminates beneficial ownership, correct? I now believe the debate re: direct registration is moot. Because I believe in RC, I believe there is a plan to withdraw GME from the DTCC. I suspect there will be many companies to follow

GME trades on the NYSE. NYSE uses DESIGNATED market makers. Citadel is GME's official market maker. Citadel is responsible for liquidity. If they've sold naked shares, it's on them to find them.

I do not plan to move my shares out of ComputerShare at this time. Common sense tells me having shares registered in my own name gives me more protection than beneficial ownership of shares *place-marked* with a broker.

I disagree that registering shares leads to an engineered short squeeze. I also believe that long-time GME investors care more about exposing the corruption than anything else. If we want to participate in a fair market, this is our best shot at exposing the corruption.

I think they HAVE to sell additional shares because there aren't enough left that actually exist. RK needs "real" shares; now there's no way brokers can say they couldn't locate any.

Good question. Brokerages are definitely discouraging new moves to ComputerShare. A friend shared a screenshot yesterday stating up to 6 weeks to transfer. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I do believe ComputerShare is more secure than a typical broker.

I believe the company will remove the shares from the old exchange (and the DTCC)--and then reissue them on a new blockchain exchange. Or something along those lines. All shares will have to be accounted for prior to the move; therefore, shorts have to buy back shares.
