The Jewish community has 20% of Nobel laureates & are 0.2% of the world’s population.
The Muslim community has 0.8% of Nobel laureates & are 20% of the world’s population.
These statistical differences are not about intellect but rather about priorities.

Well said John. 10/7 has also served as a diagnostic tool for the global community as it exposes the good, bad, and ugly amongst us.

It’s not just Hamas. None of the Arab countries consider the Palestinian people as any more than props. Jordan, Egypt, Persian Gulf countries don’t do much for them.
@Adelere
@EylonALevy
Omo did not intend to call out Eylon for a lie, but rather an omission. Eylon failed to mention that Hamas is shooting rockets at other cities in Israel besides Ashkelon.
Former actor leads show of solidarity with Gaza. After claiming Israel was stolen,
@johncusack
leads protestors in vow to return Manhattan to the Algonquin Indians.
The 1st Amendment gives Americans freedom of speech. This is somewhat disingenuous. The most informed Americans can speak, but few are heard. Then you have a former actor like
@johmcusack
telling ppl who to like and who to hate without substance or rationale & millions read it.
@Jonathan_K_Cook
Thank you for the lessons Jonathan.
In Lesson 1 you assert Israel should disarm.
In Lesson 2 you assert Israel should have no say in how they respond to an attack.
The irony is that the creation of Israel was felt to be an imperative because of people like you.
So many of the Palestinian missiles are landing within their own territory that Palestinians have requested Israel extend their Iron Dome capabilities to protect them from their own bombs.
Do westerners know the catch phrase "Free Palestine" doesn't refer to freeing PEOPLE from an oppressor but rather freeing a LAND of Jews and Christians?
@aubrey_huff
@SFGiants
No one liked you Aubrey. Kruk and Kuip started a "Hands of Stone" segment in recognition of what a god awful fielder fielder you were.
Were you even on the playoff roster in 2012? You hit below the Mendoza line and Belt was getting more time.

Arab intent to kill has been made clear.
Israel puts out alerts and has bomb shelters because it protects its citizens.

Goldstein is broadly denounced in Israel and by Jewish communities outside Israel. PM Rabin denounced him at the time. This is inflammatory revisionism.

I could replace Zionist with Islam and it would be closer to the truth than what you posted. That doesn't matter. What is your solution to the situation in Gaza and the pervasive anti-Israel/anti-Jewish sentiments?

I disagree. I have been unwavering in my support of Israel, while having left leaning ideologies on education and health care. A well-informed person can consider each issue on its own merits without being classified by a broad right or left leaning perspective.
@RenzoGraciani
Israel is the first country in the history of military conflict to be attacked and then burdened with moral responsibility for their response to being attacked.
@GaltBack1
@SenJeffMerkley
I stopped at "indiscriminate". Even if Israel was morally inclined to bomb indiscriminately, it is not in Israel's best interest. High body count and destruction is Hamas's game. Israel is not going to deliberately contribute to Hamas tactics.
@samslamdunk
People who use words like genocide and apartheid to describe Israel, belittle the plight of peoples who have genuinely been subjected to genocide and apartheid.
@mikeconvente
It's quite remarkable how Israel's counterattack has gotten so much attention compared to the atrocities of Assad and loss of life and oppression in South Sudan, Nigeria, Yemen, Xinjiang Uyghur, DRC, etc.
The family of nations views the primary role of government is to protect its citizenry. Israel learned it must eradicate Hamas to protect its citizens. Gaza is governed by Hamas. Hamas must now protect its citizens! Save Palestinians NOW! Release hostages and lay down arms!
@PhixResist
@helen_tiger
@Upper_Galilee
@jdwallis
Palestine has never been self governing. It was a name give to define land. In '48 Israel accepted UN vote and declared itself a state. Arabs declared war and lost...and lost...and lost...and lost. To this day Arabs of the territories don't accept Israel.
@jordanfrank
@hahussain
That's true. Israel can't have serious diplomatic relations until the people of Gaza can resolve internal differences and speak in one voice.
The question as to whether Israel-Hamas should have a ceasefire is incorrectly framed.
The correct framing is do you want a temporary ceasefire or do you want a permanent ceasefire? I'm hoping for the latter.
@PaleScotchi

Hamas must face punishment for this atrocity, they are not above international law. All of those responsible must be held to account in every possible way.

You don't condemn civilian loses in Mosul or amongst Uyghurs, Igbos, 10/7 victims of Hamas, etc. You are not about human rights. You are singularly anti-Israel and even crossover to Jewish hate (I checked). People like you are why Israel was deemed an imperative.

Have they been warning the west? It's clear the Arab world doesn't want the Palestinian Arabs. But it seems they are perfectly happy to turn them loose on the rest of the world. They fund. They train. They radicalize.

@AdamRFisher
Our troops didn't get the respect they deserved upon return to US. Protestors of Vietnam had legit objections. Americans had boots on the ground. JFK killed, Gulf of Tonkin, My Lai all made ppl skeptical of US gov. Then RFK and MLK were assassinated.
@RandaAFattah
Good luck with your movement Randa. Are you sure that the Palestinian Arabs want what the PLM wants for them? There have been no words or actions that suggest Palestinian Arabs are pro-humanity and love.

Israelis are different than Arabs. Out of respect for victims and their families they don't release and they have attempted to remove vile acts from web. Rape was witnessed and autopsies confirmed. In contrast, Arabs even stage videos of "violence" and post them.
Here’s protesters against the Israeli massacre of Gaza blocking traffic in Oxford Circus.
Yes, it’s inconvenient - just like the fact the Israeli state is massacring Gaza with the active support of the British government.

Not sure Hamas has regrets.
1. Attack Israel w/ max depravity
2. Create conditions in Gaza for civilian casualties
3. Israel responds
4. Scream genocide, occupation, apartheid until the words take on new meaning
5. World condemns Israel & anti-semitism soars
Mission Accomplished

I don't think so Rafika. Israel was good with that in 1948. But it was unacceptable to Arabs in 1948 and they want "river to the sea" in 2024. Arabs lost land because they lost wars. Consequences of war are the best deterrent to war.
