Nothing new
In 1991, Kuwait expelled nearly 200,000 Palestinians. Why? Because Yasser Arafat and the PLO backed Saddam Hussein during Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. Overnight, Palestinians who had lived and worked there for decades were branded traitors and driven out. Their homes, jobs, and lives vanished. This is a historical fact, no protests, no global outrage, no U.N. resolutions or endless “Free Palestine” hashtags followed. Let me be clear: the world ignored them not because of what they did, but because when fellow Arab states oppress Palestinians, it doesn’t fit the script. The narrative only exists when Israel can be blamed. No one talks about Palestinian suffering when their oppressors are Arab. Funny how that works, isn’t it?
