All the talk about reshoring/deglobalisation/decoupling is baseless posturing. At this point, supply chain complexity has achieved deep world-historical lock-in. In almost a decade, how much serious headway did Trump or Biden's America make in that direction? Almost none.

@junker_jo I think so. It's like intrusive thoughts, but for the fantasy scenario

@Logo_Daedalus My parents raised me and my brothers in the worst version of what you are referring to, though not necessarily so much when it comes to physical stuff (they didn't have enough money). It almost destroyed us. Our 20's were all about undoing the damage.

@KARIMAXXING They are helping the US empire and Israel to collapse by minding their own business and building a hugely successful country without invading anybody or fomenting any chaos, just increasing economic relations with the Global South and preaching peace and cooperation.

@Logo_Daedalus That's one of the funniest things about the current geopolitical moment, that almost no one in the West understands the basic fact that China is already a richer country than the US. Not even honest and, in some ways, sophisticated intelectuals like Mearsheimer understand this.

@pplsartofwar I'm more and more convinced that, at some point, governments with vision will just have to limit people's access to smartphones and social media (like the PRC is doing with children). This is basically a opium war happening at global scale against humanity as a whole

@okaythenme For real though. Your ethnicity has built a State that is, in many ways, the most successful in the world at the moment. Why are you behaving like this? It's wild

I beg people to learn the difference between nominal GDP and material reality (or at the very least to learn the concept of PPP)

You can be near perfect and still get fucked due to a lot of things out of your control. Generally speaking, there is no way for a large number of people to overcome poverty without a political economy and a State whose aim is to make sure this happens.

If you're born poor, you have to be damn near perfect to get out of it. One mistake and you're back to multigenerational poverty.

The worst thing about the current ideological era in the western(ized) world is that not only "progressive" liberalism is cursed but the ideological reaction against it is also mostly cursed. The people are hostage of a competition for who can be more evil and retarded.

@Logo_Daedalus They don't understand a property is literally the result of a title granted by the STATE. And that all transactions and contracts are only enforceable if in accordance with the LAW promulgated by the State. Just living in wonderland

The current levels of low-key psychosis found in the public discourse of liberal democracies, emanating mostly from its center, the USA, is very impressive People are unable to discuss anything with lucidity and good faith, illiteracy and memetics absolutely dominate

Let's talk about @KamalaHarris saying "to see what can be, unburdened by what has been." This phrase, which she repeats all the time, is not mysterious. It's esoteric. That is, it's occult. It's a Marxist and Luciferian incantation, and that's easily seen.
