That’s why GDP is too simplistic a measure of economic well-being. I live in Silicon Valley, one of the highest income areas in the US. When I go to top tier cities like Shanghai, many aspects of daily life is better than Silicon Valley : much better food and entertainment. 😂

What a joke! China is by far the biggest market for German car makers. Maybe VW is pulling back, because they are losing in China. But Chinese love BMWs, Mercedes, Porsche, and Audi. Chinese streets are full of German luxury cars. I own 4 of them myself!
