Y'all still not understanding. People see children as a punishment for women having sex. That's why some folks say the solution for women since Roe has been overturned is to "close your legs." Not once do they advocate men getting vasectomies or keeping their peens in their pants.

During slavery enslaved people were seen as "hardworking." When our ancestors stopped working for free, BAs were stereotyped as being lazy. I believe and I could be wrong, forcing Black women to work low paying domestic jobs & our refusal birthed the "welfare queen" stereotype.

Folks are uncomfortable seeing BW being loved. For ex, every single time a famous person says "BW are beautiful" someone ALWAYS counters w/ "all women are beautiful." You never hear this when they say they prefer blondes. It only happens w/ BW. Folks think we shouldn't be loved.

I can't believe it's controversial for John Boyega a Black man to say he prefers to date only Black women.

You got folk on here who think if you're Black and didn't grow up ducking gun shots, lived in a house, ate three times a day, had a good relationship with your parents, and they made more than minimum wage you didn't have the real Black experience.

Yes, our ancestors lived through Jim Crow. They also had lives outside of that. They were artists, dancers, chefs, parents, sisters, brothers, fashion designers, & business owners. They went to college, joined social clubs, went dancing, and created a life outside the struggle.

There is a visceral reaction to a Black woman who celebrates her victories, refuses to be small, has boundaries, is confident, and is secure in herself.

You see the “strong Black woman” term is deeply rooted in racism. In order to justify the abuse and rape of Black women during slavery, Black women had to be defeminized and dehumanized. The same thing happens today.

Colorist & sexist jokes at the expense of dark skinned Black women. The irony was the men were all dark skinned but they never got the hair jokes Pam did.
