Testing large language models (LLM) on IQ tests is like testing a search engine on IQ questions it has already indexed answers to, it simply does a lookup & randomly guesses answers to any other questions not in the training set. It says nothing about the models intelligence.

This is why I don't use LLMs for work: most often what I need to ask about is too close to a "this is what people tend to ask about" attractor, so its output is always wrong/ill suited for my request. And even trying to warn it about this within the prompt never works.
