An unexpected update on Dad (1/3)
I am sad to share that after going to hospital with seizures a week ago, sadly they found 4 'Grade 4' brain tumours. Dad has decided to have surgery, followed by chemo and radiotherapy, which will hopefully mean he lives for another 1-3 years.

Some good news!
Today, an incredible Neuro-Surgeon removed 3 of the 4 tumours which is what we hoped for. Dad is awake and has some weakness down his right side but it's milder than predicted. After a week of relentless worst case scenario news, this was best case scenario. ❤️

I disagree. Your triple captain gives you points from one extra player (x3 instead of x2). KDB TC gained 30, not 90 and that is an example of an extremely positive outcome.
The TC chip effectively gives you one extra player in a season where you get points from 460 players.
This GW is precisely why I want

to get rid of the Triple (c) chip. Imagine you triple (c) Salah to your rival's KDB and lost a 80+ pts lead in your mini league in 1 GW! Months of hard work gone down the drain! One right or wrong decision should not define a season

The deadline being 90 mins before first KO has improved FPL. Journalists get the teams 75 mins before kick off, so it makes sense. However, recently we have still had reliable leaks. This is a massive advantage to those of us who get this information during waking hours.

If anyone considering a -4 is worried that it is too risky, my advice is to say "minus four shminus four" out loud before confirming the transfer. It makes it easier and is proven to lower levels of hit taking anxiety.

I have sympathy for those who captained James. The second game is independent of the first. Ultimately they are losing out on their captain playing. Just because he scored them 36 points in the last game doesn't mean it isn't unlucky and owners shouldn't vent their frustration.

Doing Watkins to Darwin was a perfectly viable use of a transfer for many people.
Doing Watkins to Darwin for a -4 was not. Taking hits too often remains the biggest mistake that people make in this game IMO. You still see it from people who have been playing for years!
