@jonathanramont Are there medieval scholastics who thinks that presbyteral ordination is valid? I know that prior to Trent there were a diversity of opinions on many subjects that were later dogmatized.

@ArchangeloRom @gavinortlund I’m not saying Dr Ortlund is right but the sacrement of penance needs more explaining cause most of the NO priests don’t talk about it and often don’t give a penance after confession.

@sincead33 Tbh he brings good points concerning private confession being less(or not) prevalent in the first centuries. And also concerning the difficulties of knowing which sins are mortal or venial and whether the penitent has a valid contrition. You could make a video to respond to him.

@_kruptos Those pastors tend to think that women are ,most of the times, victims of men. Although they view themselves as complementarians they are in fact egalitarians.

@thaddeusthought @AFP I think that one of the main mistakes of Protestantism was the abolition of monasticism. Consecrated life is deeply rooted in historical Christianity and without it many christians can’t find their real vocation in the Body of Christ.

@NotChemnitz Some EO when you quote Scriptures to them will respond by quoting Elder X or Y who said so and so even if it goes against the clear meaning of Scriptures.

@ErickYbarra3 @OrthodoxWario @ARealWildCat Looking forward to a conversation with Reader Paul! It’s a catholic I struggle with the question of the change in the sacrements of initiation.
