Imagine thinking that talking about other peoples body in a negative/judgmental way was fine/normal. Look where that got us. Think before you say something. That comment can cause disordered eating & self-esteem issues. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone's got 1, keep it private

If you or your patients/clients are on a health, wellness, and fitness journey, keep this in mind (it's something I eventually tell people who work w/ me): People must change how they see themselves to achieve long-term results. Let that simmer. You can do it! #MTWABP!

Maybe 2025 is the year people stop blaming sugar for everything. Remember, sugar (which turns to glucose in the body, like all carbs we eat) is important for these things (among others): - Brain function - Central nervous system - Performance at high intensities #MTWABP!

We are 1 week into 2025. Your motivation may fluctuate, your discipline doesn't have to. Remember, you don't need to go 100% all of the time. Your diet doesn't have to completely cut out carbs and alcohol, adjust portions. Train consistently, not very intense for 1 week then stop

@VPrasadMDMPH What were the people doing outside of the alcohol consumption that caused this to happen? That seems a little wonky ๐Ÿค” Looking forward to your deep-dive

Join the gym. Take that trip. Go to the restaurant. Be kind. Be in nature. Hire a dietitian, a trainer/coach. Schedule your annual check-up. Practice patience. Help someone. Spend time alone & w/ loved ones. Be honest. Judge yourself & others less. You'll die one day, live now.๐Ÿ™‚

@PrimaryCarePAC Finally getting back around to this. This is a tricky topic for me because I would want to maximize the patient's protein intake, but with CKD caution is always taken. Resistance training to preserve muscle will be big, perhaps also supplementing with AAs, HMB, & n-3

Thursday things to consider: Flying is safer than you think! Injury rates for US airline passengers are near zero. In fact, from 2002-2022, more people were hurt or killed in cars, trucks, busses, subways, and trains than on planes. Wishing all safe travels this holiday season!๐Ÿ™‚
