Construction is beginning on 1,000 new homes in Clondalkin. 30% will be social homes. Yesterday SF called for more social homes in the Dáil but in the Council Chamber they voted against these new 300 social homes. Delay. Delay. Delay.

Last night FG voted to push ahead with a 975 housing development in @sdublincoco.We wanted to move a step closer towards delivering almost 300 more social houses but Sinn Fein voted to defer knowing us Cllrs or @MurphyEoghan can't change the scheme without going backwards 18 mths.
Councillors have voted to defer a vote on proceeding with the Kilcarbery masterplan until October. The proposed development seeks to build 975 homes on 72 acres of council lands at Kilcarbery in Clondalkin, Dublin 22 with 294 social housing units provided.
