friends - how long did you have to wait from the time you came out until you were able to access gender affirming medical care?
For me, I had to live for a year as fully female before I could start HRT. I had to be on HRT for 3 years before I could get top surgery.

To keep serving, deacons must pledge in writing to support a Southern Baptist pastor who concealed child abuse from his congregation. Doing so enables them to request an interview to be considered for โreinstatementโ by brand new Recommitment Committee.

Eight years ago, I was so close to death that I probably could have willed myself there if I had wanted to. One of the biggest reasons I decided to fight was because I had been forced to come to terms with my identity and who I really was.

After I came out, I spoke with several mega church pastors in the
#Fresno
area in hopes that I could find a community to belong to. All I wanted, I explained, was to find other women who could help me understand what it meant to be a woman of God. All of them said no.
Even though 54% of LGBTQ+ folks leave their faith community after the age of 18 (2x the number of non-LGBTQ+ folks who leave), 76% of them are open to returning if they can find a safe, inclusive, healthy, Jesus-centered faith community to be a part of.

In order to receive

(Bottom Surgery), I have to endure TWO YEARS of hair removal by electrolysis on the most sensitive area of my body. Look it up. The process is not for the faint of heart, and definitely not for someone who isn't sure.
