Having had a suicide in our family, it impacted us all for years in a myriad of ways - suicidal ideation should NEVER be weaponized or used as a coercion tactic, this dismisses genuine victims and their families. Their reaction was decidedly mild in the face of this aberration.

All so very true. But the stigma is painfully real. The only time I've felt alone during my choice to not marry has been amoung the judgment of others. We need to normalize this choice for upcoming generations so they can choose it without stigma.

Incredibly brave. I grew up watching Michael and this really hits. I remember him saying that he knew when people saw him in a wheelchair, they were picturing themselves in his shoes, wondering how they would handle it. I don't know, but not many with this kind of raw courage.

One of the few sex segregated rape crisis centres left in Canada is Vancouver Rape Relief. Among other things, trans rights activists nailed a dead rat to their door. Morgane Oger has been targeting them for years.

So disappointing to see this, Comedy Clubs were the last bastion, the vanguard of free expression. I used to despise some comedy acts for their rampant sexism, so I did the radical action of 'not attending them'.
