Amazing how everyone's discovering that maybe there was a point to restricting gambling and weed after mocking all the "prudes" who supported it.

@conor64 @DavidMastio Haven't you read Maumauing the Flak Catchers? DEI isn't about improving opportunities. The jobs *are* the opportunities.

One might think they're annoyed that the people rejected round 3 of the Bush Dynasty.

Exhibits #6 ,941 and #6 ,942 that Trump threatens the political establishment of Washington in a way that the "outsider" Obama never could.

It's not incoherent at all. They just literally *can't* articulate them without getting sued. "We want creative, smart people AND: enough blacks and Hispanics to preen about, not too many Asian swots, and some international students to maintain a global presence."

@herandrews One thing Douthat fails to address (and I'm sure Deneen does as well) is the fact that American political discourse is almost entirely a debate between (mostly) whites, while non-whites all vote Dem in large numbers.

It's NPR talk. Haven't you ever noticed? Fake idiomatic, we're just guys tone. "OK, now we're gonna talk about something that's....kinda weird." or "Some people might not like this, or well, think it's just gross."

@itsbirdemic @hbdchick @BenWinegard @JayMan471 "Men are taller than women". "Men are, on average, taller than women." Which statement recognizes the world where Michelle Obama is taller than Robert Reich?

Francisco Galicia is only a US citizen because his mother came here illegally and then committed document fraud with his birth certificate. He was picked up with two illegal aliens. He was not wrongfully detained. He was detained until he could prove he was here legally.

I don’t know if Swedish law is being appropriately followed in the case of A$AP Rocky. I am struck that President Trump seems far more concerned about him than Francisco Galicia, also a U.S. citizen, wrongfully detained for a longer time and in worse conditions here in the U.S.

@CathyYoung63 @CHSommers @donmoyn She wasn't fired. If she'd been fired, she wouldn't be teaching. They decided they didn't want her back next year because, when she was warned about the questionnaire, she didn't pull it. She wasn't tenured. She was going to be a hassle. Simple call.
