I fully believe the assimilation success of East / SE Asians in America can be attributed to: .1) The adoption of western names .2) High intermarriage rates (particularly women) .3) High average conscientiousness .4) Lack of firmly held incompatible religious beliefs.
Uber driver explained his name to me. His parents wanted to assimilate, so him and his siblings all have Indian names that sound like American ones. His name is pronounced like "Davey". Clever idea!.
