Just watch the cutscenes. Its not about the look of the face. The original got way more emotion out. They should have just save the new face for miles and spiderman 2. But putting a new face over the old one for the remaster kills those great scenes Its so jarring like a deepfake

I hate hate hate how the remaster uses a different face. I like that they changed it for the sequel. But the emotions do not hit me the same way with the new face. Imagine tom hollands face deep faked on toby maguire during uncle Ben's death. Its just off putting to me.

The main difference is Ezra simply didn't get hired back past the flash film. Majors was publicly fired from a bigger role in an avengers film.
But for the most part both studios were just playing it by ear. Ezra situation prob helped marvel make a decision too.

This works extremely well because we spend 32 episodes with her before she even gets her powers. There's such a nicely put together rewarding journey we get to see. From civilian to agent all the way to superhero.
