I think this is the "switch" effect from your red suit to black suit. The reason it's gooey and generic is so that it can accommodate all suit choices.
I think we'll have two suit selection tabs in the menu, one for standard styles and one for symbiote styles. This goo effect

Genuinely confuses me why they went through the effort of this suit switching effect for the rage mode only to not let us switch to symbiote suits on the fly.
The most frustrating part is that it's a full body cover effect that could work for any suit combination.
