@CadmiumFox That’s pretty close considering how rough it can get! What type of reactor are you using?

@BreakingTaps Happy share knowledge if you ever have any questions! Stringfellow is one of the main authors I’ve found useful to learn about it

@BreakingTaps Yeah! It's an MOCVD reactor to grow GaN, this order is to some design problems with it to push the temperature higher (ideally 1200c)

@the_engi_nerd Switched last fall, it’s definitely been a positive change! The linux ecosystem keeps getting better while microsoft’s is getting worse by decision making that seems to be short-circuited by pushing ai features

@McMasterDaily Great for cryogenic experiments! Or at moderately high temps when you want something lighter than SS

@DeveloperHarris That said, I’d never trust an esp32 for something important. I haven’t used them much, but I’ve too many hardware and firmware issues to trust the stack. Other uCs are much more reliable.

@usgraphics This is great! Even a bit more focused, is good at what they do. Such a fun approach to business.

@gabednconfused I think the best part is that despite not a top tier package, Solidworks can do the things he says it can’t, the problems he describes are skill issues. I don’t think text input with an LLM changes the problems of being able to structure a large project and work on it with others

@inconcel Yeah, I find that exhibit is intense, even as a Canadian. Each time I’ve visited the Enola Gay has caught me. Such a great museum.

@heskelbalas This would be great! I do free body diagrams in sketches, scale the units so that the numbers are reasonable and it works pretty well! Especially for linkages or sizing hydraulics. I find the sketches used creatively can go pretty far. Having more integrated though would be great

@BreakingTaps I switched to Tidal for similar reasons a couple months ago, it’s been a very refreshing change!

@CalumDouglas1 @vk2tfg I think this is a very interesting phenomenon in a lot of fields, especially when there are many parameters and complicated dynamics. I’ve experienced it in my work enough to wonder how many other local minima we are trapped in without realizing it.
