@artillain Good idea, I do have a few saved for design inspiration but now I will actively archive it.

@oxa11ce @keysmashbandit Relevant:
Not a fan of "building in public" culture. You end up creating an average of all loud opinions, burn yourself to mediocrity by pleasing everyone—sacrificing originality. The end result will be made by the people for the people, not by the artist. Feedback is useful if it is objective. It kills if it is subjective. Accept/Ignore either, it will chip away at your conviction. I think a good operating scheme is 95% conviction, 5% feedback. Or may be even 99%. Feedback stands directly in the opposition to artistry in a zero sum balance. More on this:

On retro UIs:
Good point. The only thing with retro UI's is that you have to separate their work in two parts. 1) It was designed in that way because it is good 2) It was designed in that way because of technological constraints. In other words, if the same team had 2025 technology at their disposal, would that still design the same UI? If we can separate out 1) from 2), then we can propagate 1) forward and discard 2) as technology improves.

@amadeus Hah, it is actually an ILS chart of Chicago Midway airport, just cropped. My point is unrelated to this chart, just using it as an example. But yeah, you can use anything, say Google homepage as an example instead.
