Great to see the paper finally published! Enjoyed participating as a control participant in #HD-YAS and am really looking forward to seeing the team again at my next visit!

@Dr_Done_ @BelfastTrust @PHU_NHS has decided not to give on site parking permits to any new resident doctors since August. I tried to FOI to find out the impact but they decided to fail to meet the deadlines set out by law instead. Made public first by @ICOnews :

@Xeon4f145d96s1 Rostering is complex and the typical tools available to rota co-ordinators are poor and do not allow or empower them to help trainees. We therefore made @dbrotas which allows automated roster generation around clinicians requests, availability, and preferences.

@virginmedia It took 96 hours to get reconnected - 6 of which on the phone with virgin. I've now cancelled the move. Not sure you can now be trusted with a transfer of services from one property to another.

@virginmedia Six hours on the phone. My eventual solution was to cancel the planned installation on 6th Feb at my next location so it could be reconnected at my current location in the meantime. Customer services were worse than useless as they told me misinformation and lies .

@wesstreeting There is better practice. In my department 80+ anaesthetic doctors submitted 1300+ requests for the next 6 month rota. The rota was created algorithmically and incorporated 100% of people's requests. Sadly this approach is the minority not norm.

@dr_lungs @Microbedoc2 @andymoz78 We just make a bespoke rota around everyone's requests algorithmically . My department has 80+ trainees with >40% LTFT. They submitted 1300+ leave requests in advance for a 6 month period and we honoured 100% of them on rota creation. No swaps required.

@misspaulalondon @Christoph0512 I've been a junior doctor 8 years and spent 6 years in med school. The pay I signed up for was back in 2008. That's the whole point..

@NHSE_WTE Any chance you can link oriel and trainee information system . You're forcing thousands of doctors to copy their employment history from a dataset you already hold onto a separate system you also run.

@PeterHuart @ERunswickBMA Most doctors will most probably be working on Christmas day and all the other bank holidays! Guess this year they'll get a chance to see their families either side
