The Incredible Hulk!

An homage to a classic cover by the legendary Mike Deodato. A friend of mine had mentioned that Hulk 60 from 2003 was one of his favourite covers. I thought it was worthwhile to take a shot at it.

Well, my first time painting this wall crawling weasel ( JJJ called him that, not me ). I haven't even drawn him in over 25 years, maybe longer. I had to take a few runs at him in the pencil stage to find my happy place.

New addition to the collection. These books rarely, if ever, come up for sale in high grade. Only 12 on the census at last count, with 2 in 9.4, 1 in 9.6 and 1 in 9.8. Not a super desirable book, but my all time favorite Hulk cover.

Fresh off the table. I paid a visit to 1963 and came back with the original Avengers. Gouache on hot press paper, 6.5 x 20". Leftover piece I wanted to make use of. At $25/sheet, I hate wasting it.

I'm not a colour study guy, and rarely, if ever do I take the time to do them. But sometimes, I'll play with paints in the palette I'm using to see if I can get the colours I'm after. I tried a few different things here to make sure I was going to get the greys I wanted.
