Ask an athlete if they’re happy or if their arm feels good to go, and they will say “yeah.” Instead, ask them to give a number on a scale of 1-10. You’ll learn far more about how they’re actually doing.

As the high school baseball season starts to get going, especially with all the cancelled games, be sure to keep in mind, pro pitchers don’t throw in multiple games, innings, etc in one week. If a pro isn’t expected to be able to handle that workload, should a HS player?

There are no games between the ages of 8-16 years old worth hurting your arm over. No tournament… Championship… Tryout… Showcase… If your fatigued, sore, tired, pushing thru all of these regularly will significantly increase the chances of getting injured. #kpicrew

If you are committed, what is the thought process behind going to showcases? You already got the “exposure” you needed to get committed? Slight tangent, exposure doesn’t get the commitment. Being good gets the commitment, just had to throw that out there.

There are 3 main variables when it comes to achieving your goals: 1. Time 2. Energy 3. Money 2 & 3 can always be replenished! #1 is the most important & typically wasted. There are 168 hours in the week. How many of those are going towards your goals? @KpiMh

Been seeing a huge jump in my numbers at KPI this winter! Trapbar Deadlift PR @ 245lbs and Dumbbell Goblet Squat PR @ 100lbs! I also hit a double PR in the cage: exit velo of 72 mph & 217 ft! KPI has made a huge impact on my performance! This is only the beginning!💪🏽 @KpiMh

Soft tissue injuries like a strained hamstring or hip flexor are almost always categorized as an injury. Why doesn’t the same apply to the bicep and tricep of the throwing arm? Very consistent area throwers complain of soreness after throwing. Bicep especially, try it out!

The back leg being forced to internally rotate was something I used to coach. It is something that is currently being taught, ESPECIALLY TO SOFTBALL PLAYERS… Softball players tend to have less rear hip external rotation so they will internally rotate sooner during the throw

There is a big difference between strength training with perfect form vs. strength training just to get it done. Many times strength training just to “get it done” are workouts forced on a player rather than them choosing to do it themselves. #trainsmart

Tools get recruited. Stats do not. 3 for 4 in a tournament game isn't nearly as impressive as a 6.6 60 and a 100mph game exit speed. Train accordingly

I find it funny it took a study to figure this out. 90-100 pitches in game is easily 180-200 total on the day. Plus stick them at SS or CF after they are done throwing.

🥎 it is IMPERATIVE that your hitting development focuses on hitting the ball HARD! How hard? Check out this 2024’s session, off a machine at ~60 mph. Avg Exit Velocity - 69 mph Max Exit Velocity - 80 mph I would say 75 mph or higher for your max is a good spot to be to

Deception is more important than command. Changing speed + movement = deception. Doesn't necessitate throwing strikes..... #MLBplayoffs
