We were celebrating some wins today and thinking back to the closest we've come (so far!) to catching Atomic Habits on the WSJ bestseller list. Writing The Unsold Mindset changed our lives, and we're grateful to everyone who's connected with us here because of it!

@Jayyanginspires Did you just read Ian Tuhovsky? 🙂 (Pretty good book.) Re: empathy, we teach our students not to focus on empathy (understanding what the other person is feeling), but on the BYPRODUCT of empathy - making sure the other person FEELS understood. A subtle but important shift.

A great habit to develop: Surround yourself with people who are smarter than you and listen to their advice. Everyone on the planet has certain things they are smarter/better than you at. Figure out what those things are and listen!

Want to get promoted faster? "Don't try to be the best on your team. Try to be the best FOR your team." Take a little time today to do something you wouldn't normally do to help a co-worker or teammate succeed. Betcha it will pay off in unexpected ways.

@agazdecki Same! It's been blowing our minds. Garrett had a silly little wine app he's wanted to build and in 20 minutes he had a decent version. Still working out some kinks, but it will exist very soon! The game has already changed.

For the salespeople who need a reminder... YOU should not be the hero in the stories you tell when you're selling. Your CUSTOMER should be.

@JTorreCoaching The tax time crunch = no fun. We're pretty good about staying ahead of things. Worst part for us is paying thousands of dollars to accountants when it seems like pretty much the same thing every year, just different numbers. Seems like those days may come to and end with AI.
