Poignant burial services in Normandy 🇨🇵 today. 2 young Coldstreamers, Gdsm Bayliss and Blyth were killed in the same tank in Aug ‘44. Their remains were discovered by a farmer, identified by a Coldstream Capstar. Today we were able to lay them to rest with their families.

Members of the 1st Battalion recently attended the Operational Tracking Instructors Course in Brunei. As well as learning how to read ground sign effectively, members of the course also learnt how to fast rope in order to be able to be launched quickly into the jungle.

A flag changing ceremony has been held in Iraq to mark the departure of the Irish Guards and the hand over of responsibility to the Coldstream Guards. The Battalion will spend their deployment helping enhance the training given by the Iraqi Army.
