It took quite a lot of daily hounding after her "dress however you please" tweet in which she tried to be reasonable & respectful but that wasn't enough & the rights of women weren't respected, so she decided to stop pulling her punches because it made no difference anyway.

I took muay thai for three years and did some grappling training. When I'd spar with 20 year old men who'd been training for a month, they'd massacre me, because they were stronger but not trained enough to know how to pull their punches. Training is good. Ignoring reality is bad

Safe guarding works by keeping out all of one group, to exclude dangerous people in that group. All men have been kept out of women's spaces, not because all men are bad, but because some are. As you can see, the same is true of trans identified males.

I don't think anyone should apologise for who they are on the inside. Your behaviour may need apologies though. If you use women's spaces and don't listen to us when we express our fear and discomfort, then yes, that requires apology. If not, then no.
