@WxMidlands Boring is what you want (though ideally warm and boring) Why would you wish for weather that causes people to suffer - not only material damage but of course people died in recent storms.

@pooleweatheruk @MetJayy I will just never understand how you can like something that aside from being objectively awful causes real suffering and misery - I don't have heating and let me tell you sitting around wearing 6/7 layers and essentially not leaving bed is a horrible existence

@MJ_JJ061215 @metoffice It is concerning the number of people on Weather Twitter who are desperate for ever colder, ever more severe weather. Aside from the human impact which is massive I just don't get how you can like this time of year -Especially after we have had 5 months of cold misery.

@hoffman_noa "growth" means nothing if people don't feel like life is getting better. While everything is still broken and living standards fall then an OBR number on GDP growth means bugger all.
