With pressure higher than normal in the days ahead, did you know it will cost you a TINY bit more to make a cuppa?! As pressure rises so does the boiling point of water Increased pressure makes it harder for water molecules to escape as vapour/for the kettle to whistle!

We've got some colder weather on the way, as so often happens when an intense area of high pressure becomes established to the northeast of the UK at this time of year The 'easterly' wind that's developing isn't AS cold as it might be though...here's a great explainer...
