Love this!!! ❤️
I ran past a group of lads near my local co-op. I was busy tucking my iPod away, worried that 1 of them would mug me. I took a tumble. Guess who picked me up...
... hurt pride and beetroot faced when 5k later they sang “she fell over” to me as I ran back past!
@babbymd
Just recently my daughter met her Dads friend at the door. He chose to comment on the fact she had lost weight. She was 12 at the time. I was bloody fuming. Still am.

I deferred my dissertation by 1 yr bc I took a new job and relocated. I wanted to concentrate on settling in. I worried about whether I’d get re-started and would be motivated, but it was the best thing I did. I was fresh and I smashed it. 40,000 words in 12 months. Distinction.

Instead of concentrating on how you’ll keep Corbyn out of number 10, why don’t you concentrate on sorting yourselves out. Your party is an embarrassment! Take the opportunity to tell us what you will do, not what they won’t do!

Yes!!! We got married last year! People met at ours, we had bacon and breakfast sarnies before a long walk over the downs! Back to ours and married at the church at the end of our road! Then to the pub!
26 people plus us! Loved it!
The local school choir sang for us, immense!
We may live at the end of the line. I may miss my friends. It may take forever to get into London. I may have to drive to get milk and nothing is ever open after 10pm but...... There's a view!
I may live tweet the 5yo commentary as we go…
1. This is a bit boring
2. When are we going to see the dead body?
3. Can we watch the Queen with Paddington Bear instead?
4. Can I have a snack?
5. Is the Queen poorly?
6. What’s on the other side?
It’s only been on 5 minutes
We’re just so badly behaved, even on our wedding day!
Our house might be a chaotic, and there might be a grumpy teenager, and I might be highly strung, BUT we’re full of laughter!!!!

I’m not sure how I’d feel about this! I went to Uni in 97 and my Mum died in 2011. I’ve not got a recording of her voice. You’ve made me try to recollect how she sounded. I’ve not been able to delete her number out of my phone.
Love your Mum for shouting you out of bed! 😂😂❤️

My experience of this is that people who are rich think the rules don’t apply to them. My daughters dad escaped lockdown 2 by flying off to Dubai for a month and has pretty much ignored the rules consistently since the start.
Can I just say that I’ve sat down with my ex, twice in 2 weeks, to talk through handling the teenage years and getting on the same page.
Sat down, in person, after not having a civil word to say to each other the best part of 14 years. I want a MEDAL (he’s still a d*ck btw!!)!
@AmandaMGoetz
I was a single mum for 7 yrs! Makes the world of difference doesn’t it. Life is cyclical, it does get better - although I would never have believed that when I became a single Mum, was edged out of my job after mat leave and my mum died suddenly, all in a few months -13 years ago
@DrLindaDykes
Where to start…. I could write a book on this! In fact, I practically have! 40,000 words for MSc on bullying and harassment in Midwifery / Obstetrics plus several large, high profile investigations, most recently in PLD.
We should compare notes!

4 weeks with baby no1 (who is now 11) and 12 weeks with baby no2 (who is now 4). I still remember intricate details of the people who worked on the unit - do not doubt the impact will you will have.
My lovely friend Sarah died today. 4 weeks older than me, at just 44. She had a shit battle with Cancer.
In the time I knew her (a decade) she missed out on so many things that you and I take for granted. Going to work, building her career, getting married, having kids. 1/2
I’ve had a truly awful day and I thought nothing could give me hope.
But…. this is my current view out of the front and back of my house.
Someone is giving me a message.
Tomorrow will be a better day. 🤞

Do they ever stop and think about who would, in their right mind, want to leave their family to come and work here? And frankly be treated badly by both the NHS and the public?
Just in case you've been wondering what my kids get up to when I'm working and conversing with you via

I hope that this was a tiny bit useful.... I'm sure its all obvious, but when you haven't done it in such a long time, the night before felt stressful to me!!
I have to say that I’m inclined to agree with this. As a former HR Director in the NHS, I found the approach to mandatory training absolutely crazy and almost impossible to overhaul. I was embarrassed to be part of it.
#NHS
Mandatory Training under the spotlight. I've been arguing for over a decade that it's worse than a waste of time. We learn to cheat, we learn nothing useful, antagonises us against management, takes time away from doing patient care.

I really loved this! Thanks for sharing! My daughter came up to find me at the beginning of a webinar where I was the guest speaker. I'd nipped downstairs to make a drink before it started, but was already logged in. I found her saying hello to the participants!
It takes a special kind of man to take care and love a child who is not his own.
10 years he’s been in her life. Today he’s held her hair back, cleaned up her sick and let her fall asleep on him.

Sending ❤️ I react in exactly the same way. The problem is actually theirs, not yours. I had a very difficult & public situation not so long ago, as a Director in the NHS, I cried. In front of lots of people. I went back a few days later and addressed the situation. Glad I did.

You’ve been a perfect role model for your children. You’ve received inside information which reminds you clearly why he’s your ex. You ate pizza. Sounds like a perfect night to me!

Create a consultant star chart and rate them on the quality of their leadership, advice, guidance, education and training, ability not not be patronising..... you get the picture. Anonymously pin it next to the other one.....

On this Saturday last year, we were excited to have our friends over for a bacon butty, to go for a long walk on the downs, and then get married in a tiny church at the end of our road.
This year, I’m up early to write a report before going for a swim in the sea. Urgh!
Controversial post. Who would want to stop people from speaking “in their own language” in the staff room. Being able to communicate freely with your colleagues when off duty is a liberty. When people feel threatened by this, it’s because the team dynamics are poor.
Discuss.

I'm reflecting on today's role, as an investigator. It's not a job that I do very often. It's so important that those people accused also feel that they are treated with dignity and respect, throughout a difficult process.

Thinking of people who have lost their mum today. I miss mine so much, even now after almost 12 years.

How about “healthcare” organisations responding so that less resilience is needed!!! I’m so often asked to support organisations to help individuals improve resilience. How about we look at what we’re asking people to do and ask ourselves whether it’s reasonable?

5 miles run and then a 15 minute wait outside the shops for a sledge! Woohoo! 😂😂😂 you know it’s going to rain the whole weekend now!
AND apparently, I bought home chocolate sausage rolls!
AND it’s not even 10am! I’ve peaked!
Anyone else HATE the word resilience? If so, what’s your beef with it?!

My daughters school has been doing some work with girls & as a mum, I received a booklet, best thing school have ever sent home. Would love to send it to you. Food for thought. It’s aimed at girls, but needs recreating for boys. It’s about friendship & behaviour.

There’s one huge upside you’ve missed here…. You tidied your house and it now looks great! Sounds weird but we always laugh about it!

My mum died 12 yrs ago today. If I die in 12 years time, I’ll be the age she was when she died.
My Gran died, almost 88, yesterday. I’m 44, so if I die when I’m her age, I’ve still got half my life to live.
I think this means I’m head of the matriarch!

Drs don’t work for medical staffing teams and medical staffing departments would do as well to think through how they represent their organisations with emails like this.
