@Play_for_dream The headset seems great and I have been seeing that you were indeed shipping to customers. But calling it 8K resolution is false advertising, given that 8K is four times more resolution than 4K. Just call it 4K micro-OLED.

@InTheHeadsetVR @MetaQuestVR @AMCTheatres @Cinemark @XtadiumVR Sure but then having a volumetric virtual cinema with a movie at full resolution projected in the headset (not from the video) will be better.

@BattleAxeVR Yeah, if they opt for uOLED, I wonder which one - the 4K from BOE or panels with lower resolution, something like 2.5K? I am really eager to see more leaks about these headsets.

@Egon_the_Dog It’s actually a bit sad to think that third-party HorizonOS headsets might be obsolete just a year after launch when Quest 4 arrives - unless they bring something unique to the table (like 4K uOLEDs).

@BattleAxeVR My guess is that the one from Asus will have an LCD with local dimming, but the LG one (supposedly for productivity) will have micro-OLEDs.

@Fdruid @SkarredGhost @marcusckane There will be MR headsets and AR Glasses. One being a thing will not make another obsolete.
