@jhow0089 The tribe of Levi... cuz all New Covenant believers are priests. 😎 But you are a chosen race a royal priesthood, a holy nation a people for God’s own possession so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light 1 Pe 2:9

@HwsEleutheroi @MicahBBurke Thanks for your research into "tl/dr", and yes, some complexity is required for theology. But I'll be praying that you find a happy medium between 3 sentences and 7 phone screens of text (I counted your OP)... there has to be one.

@YourCalvinist He's pretty grumpy a lot of the time. That's why we love you, brother... your sense of perspective. 😉

@wordsofthislife Will you post his explanation? Do YOU think the Middle East would be filled with war for the last 75 years without the 1948 founding of Israel?

@peterpeccavi @douglaswils @HwsEleutheroi The 2nd passage you refer to (1 Tim 5) is assuming the older man is wrong.

@Sodiuyo @YourCalvinist No... really: what do you see in Joshua 21 that leads you to conclude it's an exaggeration?

@truth2soul @sola_chad I don't want to be sacrilegious, but... obviously, God doesn't have a pair of ovaries, so your "Who is qualified to speak on abortion?" test fails pretty spectacularly.

@Sodiuyo @YourCalvinist Wow... that's a new one! What would make you think Joshua 21:43-45 are hyperbole or exaggeration? Could you help me find the implied sarcasm by the author?

@Sodiuyo @YourCalvinist Happy to discuss 23:5, but I want to be sure: according to the voice of the author/narrator in 21:43-45 (inspired by the Holy Spirit, right?), you agree that the land promises WERE fulfilled?

@KeenanPeachy The pediatrician had security or the police physically drag you from the room? Or you caved to their request/psychological pressure and abandoned your son to the "doctor's" gender indoctrination? If it's the 2nd, you should be sad about yourself most of all.

@FireFromHeaven7 The passage that rescued me from dispensationalism was the New Covenant: both in Ezk and Jer, it's explicitly addressed to Israel... but Jesus and the NT apply it to Gentiles.

@Tales_of_Lugon @YourCalvinist @TheCynicogue No, first, one term is the adjective and the other is the noun the adjective modifies. Then second, the opposite terms are the adjective and noun. Grammar matters.

@Sodiuyo @YourCalvinist Do you think that has anything to do with the still-active Old Covenant? Prior to 70 AD, during Paul's writings, before the fulfillment of Hebrews 8:13, I mean.
