@PoliticsForAlI Seems like the replies on here fall into 2 categories. 1) Those who oppose lockdowns now that the vaccine rollout is clearly working in cutting hospitalisations and deaths. 2) Those on furlough.

@PoliticsForAlI @JasonGroves1 Does that include the deaths caused by lockdown due to undiagnosed illnesses, mental health issues and increased poverty? Or are we just ignoring those and working on just the Covid ones because they’re the only ones that count?

@timspector Sadly, Tim, it’s now Boris that’s whipping it up. As businesses continue to fold, suicides continue to rise and cancers continue to go undiagnosed we’re gonna extend lockdown because of a variant that the vaccine actually works against. Madness. Utter, utter madness.

@Macbet1972 @geoffbanksbet You are correct. Used to work in a bank. AML is to stop turning cash into “legitimate” financial instruments. If the money is already in the bank, betting with it does nothing for a money launderer. Paying in £20k in cash at a shop does but that’s not what they’re checking.
