Phew! Finally the weather gave us a break and we were able to race again. Full results here tomorrow but usual shoutout to everyone who makes
#BestCritsInTown
happen.
Hope Tuesday June 22 is marked in big red letters in your diaries - it is in ours. All being well we'll be racing in the Park again. There will be a few changes to keep us Covid-compliant but the main thing is... the
#BestCritsInTown
is back!
BC don’t expect to extend suspension of regional racing beyond Aug 1 but massed-start racing in a public arena will still be excluded. So with heavy heart we are cancelling the CPCrits 2020 series. Hope to see you all in the Park in 2021 for a full summer’s racing. Please RT.
It’s nearly
#CPCrits
time!
So for the next 15 weeks it’s:
Mon Will it rain tomorrow?
Tue Will it rain today?
Wed Relax
Thu Will it rain on Tuesday?
Fri Will it rain on Tuesday?
Sat Will it rain on Tuesday?
Sun Will it rain on Tuesday?
Mon Will it rain tomorrow?
I remember Fred doing his homework in
@CadencePerform
while waiting for
@CPCrits
sign-on to open. So thrilled to see him and Ethan doing so well. And they’re welcome any time!
@U23CyclingZone
Ethan and Fred grew up within a couple of km of each other in South East London. Luckily, with a velodrome at
@HerneHillVel
on their doorstep and crit racing at
@CPCrits
10 mins away. Been racing each other since 2013. Fantastic to see how far they’ve come.
What a great night! Full field, full sun & a great send-off to Ringmaster Bob. Big thanks to all racemakers & racers & our loyal sponsors
@1ookmumnohands
@panaguabikes
Plus a 👍
@CadencePerform
for hosting the après-race. If anyone has pix of Bob's goodbye speech please post up.
Planning for 2020 starts tonight - over a pint, naturally - when we sit down to discuss the 2019 series. We’ll be looking at what worked what didn’t - and how we can make
#bestcritsintown
even better! Love to hear your views too...
Three weeks today. The
#BestCritsInTown
are back! A few Covid-related changes but still the same old full gas flat out pedal scraping Palace you all love. Can't wait to see you all on 22/06.
The circuit isn't currently fit for racing but... but... we're keeping everything crossed in the hope that CPCrits 2023 will kick off on April 18. There's work to be done but soon as we have positive news you'll be first to know!
From Herne Hill to Mount Fuji!
@ethan_hayter
big up for your selection for
@TeamGB
for the olympics! Sorry that we can't be there to cheer you on but there will be a roar coming from the
@HerneHillVel
pavilion when you race!
We're saddened to hear that Andrew Coe lost his fight with cancer yesterday. He overcame lymphoma three times and inspired many people through his courage and determination to keep fighting. Ride in peace, Andy ❤️
Off and running at Palace! The youths gave us a brilliant opening to the 2022 edition last night. There are still places in the Women's E1234 and Men's E12 senior races for next week 03/05. Get over to
@RiderHQ
and bag a place!
We are waiting before making a decision & announcement on delaying the start of this years series.
Each race requires the support, time & commitment by a number of generous individuals and it is based on them that we will make the decision if it remains ours to make.
Planning for next year's series has already started. We have to co-exist with the festivals in the park so will probably be starting in mid-April so we can get our full calendar in. Stay tuned folks!

It's happening! The starter's gun goes off on April 18. The first two weeks are youths-only with full-fat racing from Tuesday May 2 onwards. See you in the park!
#BestCritsInTown
Shout to
@Alec_Pedaler
for the win tonight after a pre race crash leaving some claret and gravel rash as momentos. Stomping finish. Does his own stunts.
Well this looks encouraging - Fisherman's corner getting the tarmac treatment. Fingers crossed for April 18 - and thx to Fran for the photo.
#BestCritsInTown
Just three weeks away now - THREE! We’re polishing the circuit, vacuuming the trees & making our annual supplication to the weather gods... rain any day you like but not Tuesdays, ‘kay?
#bestcritsintown
We’re busy with the hundred and one jobs that need doing backstage before the start of a new series. Hope to have cashless card tap-in at sign-on for one thing. It’ll be
#TuesdayMay5th
before you know it!
#BestCritsInTown
Excitement building as the calendar ticks over towards Tuesday June 22nd. But a heads-up - because of summer activities in the park it looks like Mondays will be the new Tuesdays in August.
March 29th? Is something happening? Whatever it is it can’t be as important as Tuesday May 7. We’re busy polishing the furniture & hoovering the carpet ready to open our doors on Season 2019.
#bestcritsintown
We’re thrilled to report that our friends
@CadencePerform
will be hosting our Senior races sign-on once again. Thanks guys - couldn’t do it without you! Tues May 7 is getting closer by the day. We can’t wait!
#bestcritsintown
I'm sorry to say that tomorrow's final round has been cancelled due to preparations for next month's music festival making the circuit unsuitable for racing. We'll have more to say about future plans but for now all those who pre-entered will be refunded via
@RiderHQ
We just beat the weather last night & we’ve only lost one week to rain this series - which must be a record. Thx as always to all who rode marshalled judged signed-on set-up & esp Bob and Tom the Comm - and sponsors

So touched by my gift from

after my final race last night. Thanks to Bob, Tom, and

for organising such a fun race over many years, and
