Lina called... she was entering Dartmouth from the MacKay and took the 2W exit, which takes you to Victoria Road and Windmill up toward Bedford and Sackville. She saw a family of deer right there on the ramp. So... keep that in mind if you're heading that way.

Paul has been on the Circ (heading towards the MacKay now) - driving in essential workers - says there are white out conditions, snow drifting on the road almost as soon as it is plowed, difficult to tell what lane you are in or follow tracks of the person in front of you.

Halifax police say road conditions are deteriorating everywhere due to falling temperatures. If you don't have to be out on the roads, they recommend you stay home. If you have to go somewhere tonight, please slow down and leave room between you and the car in front of you.

There are now widespread reports of black ice around HRM causing cars to go off the road and some collisions. Expect delays inbound on Hwy 101, Hwy 103, Hwy 107, and Prospect Rd. Drive with caution.

The Trans-Canada highway through the Cobequid Pass has been closed due to an overturned propane truck. Traffic is being diverted along Highway 4. That propane truck is on one side and they need special equipment to right it. No saying how long that will take.

Heads up: We've 'herd' that there are several cows "Mooving" around near the 102 between Brookfield and Stewiacke. Colchester RCMP have put up signs along the highway cautioning drivers in the area. Reduce your speed there, just in case!

Halifax RCMP are asking people to avoid the area of Caldwell Road near Hines Road. Traffic is backed up in the area due to a telephone pole on fire. Emergency services are expected to be there for sometime.

There's a huge traffic jam as people try to leave Crystal Crescent Beach. One driver told CBC News they've been waiting an hour to leave.
Police are on scene trying to clear it up and say it could take two hours to accomplish that.
