The weirdest part of this is how everyone keeps acting like the May 2024 economy is the same as the June 2022 economy. It very much isn't! Wage growth has outpaced inflation for FIFTEEN STRAIGHT MONTHS!
If the inflation rate over a period is 20% and wages grow 25% most people are literally better off than before. It’s wild to watch so many people from across the political spectrum rally around the idea that this constitutes an economic disaster - cheering for people to be poorer
