@dantaylor688 I’m biased, but I’d like to believe that chiropractors who specialize in Active Release Techniques are of a slightly different ilk than what you’re describing. I just saw that you’re in Ann Arbor—you’d be very happy with Karen Slota in Farmington Hills or Royal Oak.

@tomgoom “May improve running economy if step late is low.” Is this a typo, Tom?

@B_Holmer That’d be great—I think others would like to see it, too.

@GregLehman @DerekGriffin86 @JaredPowell12 Think the 80/20, polarized training people would say that the biggest difference would be in your recovery—which would be very limited if you were always training at those moderate intensities.

@chandlerscottPT More time on feet with shorter, more frequent runs? I typically do 2 swims/2 bikes/2 runs per week, so I’m making my runs 90 mins. Tough to balance it all for tris!

@DerekGriffin86 @B_Holmer Don’t foamy supershoes decrease the impact on the foot and ankle, while *increasing* the forces on the knee and hip? Surprised to hear all of the anecdotes about supershoes decreasing post-run soreness

@GregLehman @DerekGriffin86 @PeteOSullivanPT Reminds me of the shoulder study that you once cited—where the exercise group saw improvements in pain and function compared to control, but independent of whether or not they gained strength.

@StephenSeiler @JeroenSwart @jem_arnold Do you advise 1.5mmol and under for the majority of endurance training, Dr. Seiler? Confused about 1.5mmol vs 2mmol for the top of zone 2. Thx!

@andrew_flatt @RbertGriffin Is this a sympathetic response, tho—or a parasympathetic response that needs increased HR (and lowered HRV) for digestion?

@physiojack @GregLehman Mainly bothered by their suggestions that back pain and poor posture means “weak core.”

@Alan_Couzens No mention of zone 1/2? I’m curious about how traditional team sport athletes would benefit from more base building—as well as those running 400m or swimming 100m. I remember reading Maffetone years ago, and wondering how his methods would apply to football, hockey, soccer, etc.

@Alan_Couzens .this was frustrating, and led to giving up HR based training until recently. Now, if I see a big improvement in my MAF test after interval training for one day, why is that? Fatigue causing lower HR? Under stimulation of glycoltyic systems during zone 2 training? Thx, again!
