Coffee today at Mercato Italiano on Bridport’s Dreadnought Estate, excellent coffee and pastries, less busy than town on a Saturday. This was it last week, however, today every table was taken and created a great atmosphere. Best to walk from town as parking limited. @GreyAlien

@AntCoulls Colyford Filling Station is a rare surviving example of an 1920s architect-designed filling station. Listed Grade II, it was until recently a car museum. It is only a short walk from Colyford station on the Seaton Tramway. Photo from Historic England, lust entry 1405728

@VodafoneUK The coverage map at that location(DT1 1EE) is good for 4G. However, it seems that the car park must have a blind spot here. As I have said previously this is not a one off. It happens every time I visit!

@edfenergy Thank you for the credit offer if I book an appointment to change my meter before the end of March. I have been trying since December to do just that but every time I ring there are no appointments available!

@theHREgroup The bridge over the road to Uploders has had some TLC in recent days. The vegetation by the wing walls has been removed and fencing put up in its place. This year sees 50 years since closure and all activity on developing an cycleway on this bit seems to gave gone.

Picked this up in Durham in 1985, it was produced by the County Library for the 1975 celebrations. Those years have sped by. @AntCoulls @AndyRoden1

@WelcometoDorset Have you come across the SLOOP at Bridport Harbour in the Alehouse Recognizances? Richard Roberts was thought to be there in 1766. I believe he was still there in 1775/6.

@neheritagelib Might it have been one of the pubs opened following the Beerhouse Act of 1830, which allowed any rate payer to open up their house to sell beer or cider.

@wasserhouse That is the trouble with Bridport/Yeovil sands they slip a lot in this weather. We went to Ilminster for lunch today and had to chose the route carefully. Still many roads closed and standing water on numerous others.
